- This is what food heaven looks like. When taking a quick trip to Brazil, I took advantage to show you where I (Guga) am from! Being from Uberaba, Minas Gerais (MG) in Brasil I get to have to most delicious Brazilian food of all time done by a real authentic chef. This amazing food was all created in a traditional wood fire stove by my best friend Marcelo and his wife Nayanna. This was an experience I will never forget and editing this video brought tears to my eyes. I hope you enjoy this video as much I did, thanks for your support.

Hi Everyone!
Hope you enjoyed my little trip to Brazil. Lot's of people are asking me about the Giraffe! Her name is Loira (Means Blonde Girl) it's true that in Brazil Giraffe is not native.
That was my uncle's farm. He is environmentalist and has several exotic animals living free in his farm. It is not open to the public and it is a special place where all animals live free and that is where he spends his retirement.
By far the most magical place I have ever been. Let me know if you enjoy trips like this and I will do more. Thanks for you support and hope you enjoy the video.
You are the best guga
Thank you Andres, I appreciate that.
I've always wanted to go to Brazil. Because of you Master Guga, I'm even more motivated to go!! :)
Mandioca
Nice video! Is there any chance you could put the names of some of these dishes in the description?
That lady can run a kitchen all by herself. She is talented. She reminds me of my mother n law. Those recipes are shared by generations and traditions. Love your videos guga.
Easily my favorite video that you have done, production was fantastic. I think you need to keep traveling and filming, Guga around the globe!
Wow that means a lot to me. I appreciate that. I actually cried editing this video. 😂
@@GugaFoods He is 100% right! awesome video! Please keep making these special episodes! Not that often but maybe ones every 2 month or so would be so cool! Especially the beginning with the giraffe and the parrots - peachless
x2
My Brazilian mother in law is in live with you now. She thought you were alright before, but she's crazy for you after this. Thanks Guga! Great video, great channel!
This 100%!!!!! Guga’s production quality and content is absolutely top notch.
I cooked picanha for the first time last night for my wife and I, needless to say we fell in love with it! Thank you guga introducing us to the queen of meats!
Glad you both liked it!
A mana Nayana afiando a faca pra mim foi o ponto alto do vídeo. AMEI
It's so good to know Portuguese while watching this. The real brasilian spirit is always contagious
Abraço de Portugal
Is Feijoada still a traditional meal in Brazil? My family lived in Sao Paulo for a couple of years before moving back to Texas. My mom was given the recipe and would cook it a couple times a month for us. It became a household favorite and I still love it after more than 40 years. Great video Guga, it sure brought back many happy memories from Brazil.
Yes! Feijoada is very traditional, one of the symbol foods of Brazil
How could 23 people not like this man spending time at home with his friends and family?
This woman needs her own channel!!!
Guga please make more brazilain themed videos do some in full Portuguese too I love the culture. Such a beautiful country I would love to visit one day and love learning about it all.
Man the intro with the birds flying looks like it is straight out of Disney!
Thanks... That was my uncle's farm. It is an impressive place.
Actually that's Brazil's Jurassic Park...
true! I have to watch it again to see if it is edited! hahaha
Haaaaa zabenyaaa
Gave Rio vibes
This is what the food network channel SHOULD be like!!
Food Network is all cheesy competitions, celebrities, and really drawn out cooking shows. UA-cam is where it's at.
no
My gosh, in the 1st minutes I had goosebumps
I cried editing this video. I can understand!
@@GugaFoods wonderful content like always, thank you very much 💪
Guga Foods love the passion guga
I was like “oh wow! Beautiful!” And then I saw that giraffe and was like “what?? In Brazil? What is going on here?”
Brazilian Portuguese is by FAR the most beautiful language I've ever heard. I'd love to learn it.
It is not super hard, the harder parts I think are phonetics and sounds
His accent is from minas gerais, a place in Brasil that has one the prettiest accents here
Just marry a Brasileira that helped me with my Portuguese a lot ! Me being Mexicanand my wife brasileira we have learned and appreciate both cultures ! Truly the best of both worlds!!!
💯 % AGREE there is no other language I want to learn 😅
Melhor comida do mumd0!
Your hometown is a paradise!!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Now that's a REAL WOMAN.... GOD BLESS
that knife sharpening was epic
Anyone salivating while watching this or was it just me..
This was an amazing experience to watch Guga. To see how different countries and cultures prepare their food, to give it that distinct flavor, is so interesting to watch. And yes.... everything looked amazing lol!! Thank you for including us in the fun experience Guga!!
Guga my man this was incredible! I thought at first that these shots can't be from Guga, they have to be from some nature documentary or something they were that good. Incredible camera work, editing, etc...
Your videos are always great but my man! The quality of this was incredible! Awesome job!
King Guga born from humble beginnings
Who just watch guys’d 2019 thank you vid and decided to watch this
Really glad he mentioned it, this was so well made and personal
Hell yeah! Damn, Guga, how did I miss this damn video?
Yeah I thought I'd seen every video but I don't remember this so I'm glad he mentioned it
Same! So surprised I missed this video! Really good one with excellent footage!!
That’s why I came here! Can’t believe I hadn’t seen this gem of a video!!
Can't find anything that good in a restaurant.
She made u a feast
I know right.. and that is like a regular dinner there for them. 😂
Yeah in Brazil that’s basically everyday... (apart from the 4 different deserts. But the savoury food is quite spot on)
This is how Hispanic people eat normally 😂😂
Not really. Brazilian lunch/dinner is actually a good type of meat and many side dishes, mostly a meat+pasta+rice+beans+puree+salad+juice. And as there are thousands of different ways of doing beans or pasta or rice or purees, mostly you will eat something completely different ( made from the same base) every lunch. And by dinner you include that OR stews, that makes all the rest of the worlds stews taste like dirty water. I traveled some places and nowhere compare to everyday food here in Brazil. And most people can cook, we know all parts of a cow and the different meats and cuta from it, the same from chicken, different fishes, the different meats of pork and all.
This woman cooked normal food. She mixed tabule (i think is jewish), fried cassava (recipe feom brazilian natives), this beans is a type from brazil west, ocra (africa), there is food from the entire wprld in this plate, just that brazilian version. As people everywhere came live here the precious generation, our grandparents mixed everything and we learned.
Like, today my son ate for breakfast eggs, fried cheese and mango juice for breakfast, yesterday couscous, the day before fried banana with cinamon, the day before tapioca and on and on and on.
We love variation and we love creamy inside crunchy outside.
I believe any brazilian housewife would put most chefs around the world out of their jobs, no kidding at all. I mean, you saw how she easily sharp a knife anywhere, hahahah (i sharp it on my sink marble).
And I wont even start about brazilian sweets. Thats humiliation for the whole world.
@@wigfallfam5404 Brazilians are not Hispanics
wow... that intro is so FREEEEKING GOOODDDD
Thank you 😊
REQUEST!
Mr Guga,
I so love your channel. The only drawback is that it makes me so hungry to watch and I don't have the budget for expensive steaks. :(
How about doing a video of cheaper steaks like sirloin, flank or monster steak? I have tried the salt treatment per your video to tenderize a medium quality steak and it worked amazing. So starting with salt treatment, compare your best previous tenderization results in one experiment:
Salt, then pineapple
Salt, then papaya
Salt, only (control)
Salt, then whatever you want!! What do you think? Thank you!!
guga doing a million happy dances in his head eating all this bomb ass looking food!
so wonderful lady, an amazing home chef :) wonderful family and generally from what i can see Brazilians are amazing people... having so much in common with us Greeks even we are so far away... Greetings and a lot of love from Greece :)
This 🇧🇷 ❤️ Greece 😎
Hello, thank you! Come to Brazil 🇧🇷🥰
Guga is going to have his own travel show now; Guga Grills the World!!
She’s the real chef
Best video I have seen from Guga, the meal looks incredible. I'd give a kidney to experience that
Amazing video as usual Guga! Hi from Brazil
Guga your hometown looks incredible! Please make a video about your story, how you came to the USA etc, would love to know!
Agreed. We want to know more.
feijao tropeiru is one of my all time favorite things to eat
Great video brother ... oh I love that guarana soda. Real mnice to see your background
Thanks brother. Yeah Guarana is awesome.
You should definitely develop a recipe together
Or something else
Just do something together
Please
I second that!
Rice and beans, piranha, and GUARANA!!! Oh and poa de queso too!!!
Picanha
This and SVE are the most underrated cooking channels on the tube. Best editing. Best instructions. Very detailed explanations. Minimal mucking about. Its crazy how you dont have atleast 1mill+ subs and views on each video
Thank you for your words my friend👍
Dang it bro I want to go to Brazil next time you go!!! That look awesome! And tho Brazilian giraffes are amazing! 😜🤘😃 Very fun video! Thanks for sharing!
Lets GO!

Naiana is not only a great cook, she is a great cook from Minas Gerais. These people cook the best food in the country.
Naiana is the real OG.
I agree 100%
My wife is from Minas and I wholeheartedly agree that they are the best cooks in all of Brazil.
É MT bom saber q vcs gostaram do nosso país ❤👍
o guga eh brasileiro, nasceu em uberaba e fala portugues
im still shook by sharpening the knife on the floor
😂😂😂
she's amazing 😍 lol
It's very traditional, and sometimes it's better than a sharpener 😂😂
@You Have Horses work for both, but depends on the floor. Brazilian hacks 😂😂
You can use the top part of your car window as well to sharpen your knife
What I remember from my visits to Brazil and the brazilian part of my family... the plates are always too small.
This brings back memories, man...
Who is here after the 1million subs special 🤟🥩
this is the cooking for the heart
I agree. I am biased to Brasil (Tatuape), but this is a great video. I agree Guga, you could do these types of videos regularly. Maybe go to different places in Brasil or South America... Japan, Europe? Great Job!
I appreciate that BLAKE!! Thank you so much!
@@GugaFoods Guga you should come to Portugal! A lot of brazilian foods have origins in Portugal as you know, so it would be cool to have you over! Let me know if you ever want to come I have the best view in town :D and a great terrace overlooking the city for great cookouts!
I miss living in brasil. I lived in macaé for 2 years

Guga, I love this video! Thanks for sharing a part of your life in Brazil. Your friend's wife is a rock star and her kitchen is fabulous!
Ele nao aceita visitas, so mesmo familia e amigos dele.
a thing i never imagined, see you speaking portuguese
I want to see more Brazilian cuisine. It looks really good!
It’s delicious! Will do more for sure!!
@@GugaFoods yeah can you do more Brazilian BBQ
Latins have so much passion for their food it is beautiful. My family is polish and Babcia is the same, so much damn food all home made and all delicious, from the heart. wow
I am learning portuguese right now and I love the little bits of portuguese here and there. Muito obrigado!
Just ignore his Spanish slip on the Minas cheese. Queijo Branco not Queso Blanco.
Thanks for sharing Guga! Please tell your friends everything looks delicious! 🤤👍🏻👊🏻

1000% agree !!
AWESOME video. Guga, I am a huge fan of your food videos, but I just discovered a second talent you have - capturing Earth’s beauty! You should consider making another channel for all the cool places you travel to and all the beautiful animals and things you see!
My girl said why don’t you take me someplace I’ve never been, I said let’s go to the kitchen 😂, I need a wife like this woman.
LMAOO
True women can cook.

I SEE PICANHA IN THE TITLE - I CLICK WITHOUT THINKING!
I agree!!! PICANHA is Amazing!

If everyone had good wife like her, there would be no wars and we would all enjoy world peace.
You are so blessed to come from such a rich culture with amazing food.
The only Brazilian cooking I've really seen before finding your channels was from documentaries following Brazilian fighters around mostly in Rio. It's cool to see some traditional dishes described with a little more detail.
Nice Guga. Thanks for sharing your heritage, family, friends and alma with us.
I had no idea Brazil looked so beautiful. Food looks amazing as well! Just wow
