I’m glad DC’s mindset on crossovers has changed recently tho! Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong was so fun to read this year!
I just want to say thank you for doing your part in keeping comics alive there are channels out there who mostly focus on negativity just for negativity sake and Im glad you give honest reviews and talk about books you actually like. I love your content and think you are amazing at it 👌🏽
FCO colored most (if not all) of Snyder and Capullo's Batman, along with a chunk of more recent spawn stuff. Honestly, I feel like the colors in that bat run are under appreciated, partially because of how often colorists are under valued generally, but they're pretty great

Maybe it’s cause I’m British? But as much as I have been enjoying this Flash run. I don’t know that it needed all the existential dread or if it was even necessary? The Speed force “Dying” while a fresh take is so in line with what you’d expect from a British writer. To the point it’s almost like a parody.
It’s kind of the same feeling I’ve gotten reading Power Fantasy.
It’s a good book but it just comes across a little…I wanna say pretentious but I don’t know if that’s the word. Maybe unintentionally preachy?
Sometimes I wish British writers would take a different approach but hey I’m looking outside right now and it’s raining so I get it.

I'd love to go to the signing and I preordered an awesome foil version of the Alex Ross cover for the book, but I work Oct 9th and 10th and only have like 4 more days off for the year so prolly won't be able to make it lol. I'm gonna try and go to NYCC this year tho so hopefully I'll run in to you guys with my copy on hand haha

Spurrier's Flash was definitely a trade wait for me. The first couple issues were jarring after Adams, but by the end of the volume I was in for the ride. Only other work I've read is Coda, but that was enough for me to wanna give it a real chance, and I'm glad I did.
I reeeeeaaaallly think they're gonna go far left field with the suit and have it be a Clone Saga adaptation rather than a Venom adaptation, and your idea about Ben getting the suit as Venom just makes it seem even more likely to me. Imagine that drama where it being built up that Ben is putting on the suit at night only for it to be revealed that its not anything like Venom but he's really doing it because the AI is his dad and Peter hasn't been spending any time with him lately.
Although my original idea was that they'd go hardcore Clone Saga with it and have Peter eventually name the suit Ben even though the AI is himself. Eventually, he'd have to throw it away down the smokestack only for it to start taking over people to lead out Peter's life as Spider-Man in a sorta-Venom sorta-Ben Reilly kinda situation. Maybe even have like the suit suggest, "something cool, like Venom," when they're trying to pick a name as a nod, then also something where they find out the codename for that model picosuit is Jackal.

I feel the same way about the Batman/Indiana Jones crossover comic that was going to happen but eventually fell apart.

45:06 Agree to this so much! It IS a bleak story. And I definitely did not like it.
I'd even go back as far as Bendis' Illuminati story where they blew up a Skrull spaceship killing a bunch of them. They just keep wanting to turn the heroes into villains/ monsters for some reason. Ugh.

I'm glad Tiffany likes the Flash, but I really don't. I don't like Si Spurrier's writing and don't like it for Wally. If they had had him do Barry's story instead of replacing Adams with Wally, I feel like I'd have liked it a bit more, but I'm just not a fan.
15:00 You can say that again. I've just read Countdown for the first time last month. It was awful and not worth the price I paid... which was nothing because my friend lend me his copy he bought way back when.
