I met and rode with Rusty, the owner of D&D, at a VTwin Visonary Rally in the mountains. He not only builds exhaust, builds some kickass rides but can ride really good. He convinced me to upgrade my exhaust to D&D. There is a performance baffle you could get that when you order new and you won't loose backpressure but I don't think you would tell the difference from your modification since you had the exhaust for a while.
there's alot of bad info in these comments... first of all back pressure is then enemy ALWAYS. (period) what most ppl attribute "power loss" too is the change in exhaust tuning and scavenging IE loss of low end torque and gain in high end horsepower. Dont believe me... how many dragsters are running open free flowing exhaust. same idea with long tube headers VS shorties etc depends on the situation. 99% of ppl would benefit and notice from the low end torque vs the gain in top end HP
How hard did the hp and torque take a hit? I have a fat cat w no baffle got it dirt cheap. It doesn't have the torque or power my silent cobra speedster 909's did. It is by far loud as fuck though. I'm getting a baffle to get my power back.
You can get mini cone baffles that dont damper the sound more than a few decibel points, and still provides back pressure. That m8 is losing off the line torque without back pressure.
Dude D&D makes a performance baffle for the billet cat you didn’t have to do that in the bikes not gonna run as good! Also get yourself some aftermarket suspension your ride will be so much better and your wheels will be planted to the road better handling better breaking try legend lifetime warranty made in America! That is one kick ass bike nice looking call rusty he’s the owner of D&D!👍🇺🇸😎
@@MossTheJockey I’ll race him with My Rd., King on the twisties in New Jersey anytime! His bike won’t stand a chance with the stock suspension against me. Anybody can go fast in a straight line. Anyway I was talking to him and trying to help him out why are you budding in!! 👍💯🇺🇸😎
Fixing to pull the wrapping off my D&d boarzilla. She screams when you get down on it but other than that I wish it was louder so I’m gonna do the same as you
@@JNAMOTORSPORTS in most cases your not wrong some cases having a more free flowing exhaust is better. My 16 FXDL has bassani with a custom exhaust turn out where the factory cap goes that holds your baffles in and has no baffle with a 45 degree turn out instead of the factory end cap and made 6 more hp on the dyno.
I was always under the impression that you would have to re-tune if you changed baffles, did that affect the performance, throttle response or having in lag??
the one he depacked was the vortex baffle which makes it at least look like the big bore baffle. I've swapped baffles on my 2019 Electra Glide Standard with the Billetcat is how I know
Hell no, hell no. I hate the sound of no baffles. That deceleration crackle is awful, it sounds throaty but the deceleration shouldn't be, another pipe would of been better, vance and hynes makes loud pipes and python
Hey, I did what you did I took my slip on apart? I pulled it out and there was no padding no wrap around it whatsoever, but there was a steel container around it after grinding off the steel container and sliding it down the middle. I took it off and guess what there was nothing else just the baffle….
I’m thinking of doing this as well and using a DK Custom’s Thunder Inserts paralleled in the baffle grind whatever I need off the bolt so it will not interfere going back in.
Everyone hating saying baffles removed. He only took off the baffle wraps? What video did you watch?? He still have the baffles on.

He said “stock M8”😂😂 yeah ok 👌🏾
Look at my page stock m8 sounds same
Girl in the back bout to die off the BackWoods but get that back in
I heard her too🤣🤣🤣
I will bet a dollar you lost low end torque. The M8 thrives on back pressure.
I had to stop watching when he was hammering with steel hammer on a ratchet .
Lol my mechanic hates when I do that
Sounds like crap on deceleration. I'll bet your neighbors love you. Renter, Right?
Fuken sounds sick
I think you made a mistake taking that baffle out. It could hurt your engine long term and you will loose back pressure for torque.
Yep

Where can I get that tool to do that to my D&D
Next time fire the bike up and rev it for about a minute at 3500rpms. Then use the puller.
Wtf 🤦🏻♂️
This was hard to watch.
Wow, roars nice but I'm sure your ears are left ringing after an hour's ride
That sounds terrible!
buy a dang THUNDER HEADER
First time viewer. Your channel looks interesting. Where are you from? Your bike looks great. I like the bird paint job. Hit me back.
California. You can see number plate in the video.
Hammers on Harleys. Ugh
It sounds so much better now. Awesome

well it's to late to tell you to wear a respirator when removing the sound deadening material, they still use asbestos in these things.
You should get another tune now
I like that!!
More noise Less torque. Unless your an exhaust engineer leave it to the experts like D&D.
Man shut up
Where did you get the exhaust
Where did you get the colored washers from on your engine ?
What color is that base color? that is sick
Thanks now I learn how to get it to work with muffler
what all is done motor wise
nice
At that point why not leave the baffle completely out? Sounds good! But no baffle at all would be louder!
Looses power
