In my opinion, his best role was in Accepted. Such an underrated movie.
Omg I love that movie because of him
I still want to take his class
I could listen to him rant like that in the movie for hours. 😂
I literally rewatched this with my girlfriend last week. I was HOWLING when the scene came up with him as the dean. That was 1000% an off the dome rant.
Absolutely, 💯!!
Saw Lewis back when i was 13 and 14. The 2nd time i saw him it was at the beach and I was actually staying in the same Hotel he was. So in the morning as the bus was waiting for him to leave we managed to catch him at the right time get a picture in an autograph. He couldn't have been nicer
“They ‘eff’ us on a daily basis and you can’t say the word.” Sickler!! Love you man, go O’s!
Fuck
Ryan is such an incredible host, always gets the best out of his guests. Incredible episode too 5 for sure. Such a genuine episode
As a 20 who has really only ever gotten along with old people this is one of my favorite episodes
"I don't come to LA to cry" best of the whole episode
Man, what a cool guest to get! I hope this lovely Tuesday finds you all happy and healthy. The holidays are coming up and it can be a super hard time of year for some people. Let's all remember to look out for one another and show compassion and love. I love you all! Also, I hope you're doing well after your back surgery Ryan!
SickleCell and Black killed it on this one, genuinely the most entertaining podcast episode I've heard in the last decade.
when lewis said "its hard because theirs nobody left" when he was talking about his family it hit me hard. thats something i think about often. growing old and losing just about everyone that you looked up too one day
I saw Lewis when I was a freshman in college back in 2003 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, it was a free event for students only and it was packed out. Lewis was sick as a dog and he drank NyQuil the entire time, and still put on one of the best shows I've ever seen! National Treasure 🎉
If the world could hear the sound my head made when I saw this guest, so excited.
Yeah, I love him. He's such a great and funny person.
❤❤❤❤ love Ryan and his laugh
I wish Lewis was my grandpa ❤
This was great! Phenomenal pod!
We need a new Joey Diaz timeline update!
Lewis is one of the greats, thank you Ryan for having him on.
This man in Accepted was my ideal professor or teacher
Lewis probably introduced me to comedy. Great comic. Love that he's gotten into podcasts & guesting.
Wish Louis Ck did similar.
Such a great episode; beautiful even! Lewis comes from a real strong lineage; so even at 75 I imagine he may be with us for at least a decade more 😌 but wow; incredible to hear his stories and hear about his parents.
Him sharing about that moment he had with his mom; sharing direct eye contact with one another, maybe for 30 seconds or more. I felt it as he said it and it is incredible to see such a moment almost possibly bring Lewis Black to tears. I know that moment with my parents would ache me to death. So beautiful; and I'm so glad he got that moment with his mother just before her death.
The eye contact reminds me of an art piece that Abrina Abramović did using eye contact. It is so powerful even between strangers; but a son and a mother???? Jesus. Heavy stuff
Great. Fricken. Episode.
Thank you!
Lewis Black’s HBO special made me laugh so fucking hard. What a legend.
Lewis Black. Legend.
It's so wyld how far this podcast has grown been a honeydew listener since day 1 over at cha moms house. Your special was hilarious. Love ya Ryan. 🫂
Lewis is a frickin legend both in comedy and as a person! Great episode.
Lewis is GRAND Daddy. 😂❤ Love this man so much.
Got to see Lewis Black back in 2012-13 or so and to this day it was by far one of the very best, if not the best show I have ever seen! Love this man, so damn funny 😂!! Just quality 👌!!
Loved seeing y’all connect on that next level. It’s cool seeing friendships begin and your elevator story made me smile big.
Love Lewis black, reminds me of my grandpa. Probably the best political comedian in my eyes
Yup...lived in Bowie from age 9 mos until 14 years old. To the Smithsonian museums at least 2x a year for field trips, to Baltimore every once in a while, Annapolis. And that doesn't count times we'd just go as a family to all the different sites - you definitely take it for granted when you live close by.
Loved him on Opie & Anthony, or more specifically, loved what he said about Gregg "Opie" Hughes. In the peak of the Opie & Anthony Show, everyone walked on eggshells around passive aggressive Opie(Greggshells), but Lewis said screw it, & said "When Opie isn't here, it's like there's more air in the room!"😄👏
Great conversation, Ryan and Lewis. Thank you.
That was beautiful! Louis is a gem, with whom I often disagree. But he's still a beautiful gem, in my opinion. Great talk.
This was one of the best eps. Lewis Black has always been insightfully and hilarious. Ryan is incredible with Honeydew. Everyone should listen to this ep.
Man 😂 that laugh after he said “99 is fine” 😆☠️🩵🩶🖤
Thank you for being so vulnerable Lewis
A much more interesting conversation than I had originally thought. This makes me wish I could sit down with my grandmother just one more time, happy Tuesday y’all
Loved this ,what great advice and touching stories ,made me tear up thank you Ryan and Lewis x
Oh hell yeah! I love Lewis Black!
Lewis is a legend in the game for sure
I remember this guy was in , "THE BIG BANG Theory"! Interesting show, enjoyable! Love you! 🤣🤣❤
Love Lewis black. Thanks mr. Sickler ❤
Great episode!! Lewis Black is wonderful and an OG!
I put this episode in my top 3. Other two being the Steve Simeone episodes. 😂😂🤣🤣
Listening to this while having a sip at a seafood spot on Holabird in Dundalk.
Saw Lewis at Fully Loaded and he was top 3 best of the night. Never saw his stand up before
Powerful episode 👏
Loved seeing Lewis black on the honeydew you almost got him to cry Ryan haha
Dude Ryan Cronkite !! You got a super LeGund!! This was way neat thanks always for the DEW!!
The NyQuil joke will always be in my dome
Thanks for almost making me cry too 😢😢😢
lewis talking about his mom hit me right in my guts 😢
It doesn't seem like Lewis Black does very many podcasts. Gonna check it out right now.
When I lived in Silver Spring, it was much closer to Washington.
The only word to describe Lewis Black: Legend
Happy Tuesday y'all
happy tuesday
Gotta love Lewis man, incredibly intelligent and funny!
I remember watching lewis on some tv show he had on comedy central as a kid, i didnt find it funny because i was so young, thinking about going back and just re watching that show to see how i look at it now. Its good to see him, it reminds me of old times.
Happy birthday Stella!!
Well hell, I just found out... Glad you're still here Sickle Cell.
What a great episode
Great listen as always. CC is no longer dry on Sunday. Don't ask me how I know.
8:56 ep starts
Love you Ryan!! You make me laugh and have Hope luv....
Love him. Bought Rules of Enragement back in 2003, he’s so much f*cking fun. 😂❤❤
Great ep
Archbishop Curley in Baltimore.
1990 I routinely walked down the hall with 2 brothers and smoked . After 215 they didn't care . Use to be a great school .
Archbishop curley class of 94
The best honeydew in awhile!
Mr. Black class all the way.
Just saw Lewis in Duluth. Really good show.
Great episode Ryan, Lewis is a living legend
Another amazing episode. really good stuff
Fantastic Episode!
Lewis Black. One of the best. So Funny lol
Aw man, Lewis. Awesome ep ♥
This episode was awesome.
"i don't come to la to cry ... Asshole" OMG lewis
So wonderful
My mom wouldn’t make it to 103. My wife would push her down the stairs if she made it past 70.
Lewis is funny, I laughed several times during even though I have no tongue.
My neighbors called the cops.
Lew! The best!
Great podcast. Love the hoodie big dog!!
i am so glad they give Baltimore and MD a huge shoutout. I realize now after ive left baltimore how uncommon going tp DC once a month is; all the history involved, such a shame the people gave it a bed rap.
I Fucking Love Lewis Black.
S/o to my Silver Spring/Takoma Park folk
I'm definitely one of the jaded MDers and I lived in DC as a kid. I will be happy to never visit any of the tourist spots. Amazingly my mom still loves going down. When people tell me they did this or that trip in school to DC for something I'm always unimpressed. But I love my state. Don't forget the part that is DC is the MD part, VA took theirs back. Bunch of slow driving left laners.
OU, good chance it was Comanche, but we got everyone here, remember the term "Indian giver" refers to how they gave them Oklahoma then took it back.
great great guest!!!!
Hell Yeah Y'all
I've always really liked Lewis Black. I used to love him back when he was funny, before his covid special.
TEST! TEST!
Damnnnn a heavy hitter right here 🔥
Ryan, just a quick comment....I love you❤ that's all.
Lewis, come on, Silver Spring is NOT equidistant from Washington and Baltimore. Silver Spring is six or seven miles (depending on the route) from downtown Washington DC, but 33-36 miles (again, depending on the route) from downtown Baltimore.
South Harmon institute of technology!!
MFers...just hit Like for the man, it ain't hard.
Caught one early!
Gentlemen! Do my eyes deceive me?! Or is that a Starbucks across the street? Idk about you but I could go for a cup of coffee
I would like to say fuck you to UA-cam for not reminding me of this show in a long time.
Was looking forward to seeing him on Bert's cruise but but but he was a no show
You or Larson still have any crab feast gear in the closet? Love to get a shirt or something.
A comment for the algo 👍
