      Thank you Lorraine. I did not manage to catch the mouse but it did die between the floor boards. A few weeks later I had a fly infestation in the house. I gave up counting dead 🪰 after 2oo. Every day I sealed my bedroom after spraying fly spray and Every night I counted them before vacuuming them all up ! Hard to beat nature !!!

      I was just asking myself why in the heck this video would ever have to be made,and then I seen your comment Marian…And then I asked my Wife if she knew how.
      As if I insulted her she responded NO! You do that!
      And then I showed her your comment.We both agreed that this is exactly why UA-cam comes in handy.
      Anyways,We also lost a very close family member so we both want to let you know we are sorry for your loss.
      We also have Furlong family members across the pond,which is why your comment caught my eye. Godbless you,and take care . ❤️

    I have these exact traps. They worked well with the same mouse problem last year. But right now I am setting them again, and it appears the mice have eaten the peanut butter, and escaped. It seems the latch was held down too firmly? So the mouse weight did not trigger the trap. I literally set them half an hour ago, checked them just now, and the peanut butter was gone. As I remember you can adjust this sensitivity very carefully, according to how you secure the latch, not sure how to do that now. All I know is, game on with these little fuckers!

    the mice will lick that clean! so the trick is applying it UNDERNEATH the bait tray. mice need to work at it ...then WHAM!

    those little traps are $2.50 each up here. personally i use them over and over. dump dead mouse in toilet then dump trap in bucket of bleach water.

    Got a mouse in the house I’m sitting, and I’m at a loss as to how to properly set a traditional mouse trap. Going to put this newfound knowledge to good use since I want the little bugger out of the house before the owners return.

    The mouse is outwitting me part of the time. He gets the peanut butter without always springing the trap. Am I putting too much peanut butter or is there an optimum spot to put it? My success rate is about 50% Please help.

    • @AceHardware

      Hi Elizabeth, The trick is to set the hold back wire just on the edge of the clip to increase the sensitivity of the clip to engage the spring. Just be careful. As for location place multiple traps against the wall, behind appliances and in corners. Good luck!

    I have experienced the mice gently licking away the peanut butter without cashing the trap to go off recently and I'm wondering if there is a way to get them to trigger the trap easier

    • @blaiseducdaumont1280
      @blaiseducdaumont1280 2 роки тому

      ... Yes, use a small pliers and squeeze the catch ledge where the bar sits so it is more sensitive. (You flatten out the catch ledge a little). At the same time this will make the trap more difficult to set.

    If you notice, where you put the bait, it's curled, it's curled for a reason, you shove the bait inside that curl, so the mouse can't steal the bait and make it harder for the mouse to get at the bait.
