I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that!! I kept waiting for the big twist where he stops and realises "Oh shit, this looks like the cat I ran over a few days ago" Well, I got a big twist. But it certainly wasn't THAT.
I honestly thought it was that guy who poisoned cat food, because he said something about riding a yellow cat over. But then again, poisoning cat food is something Gregory would do after all...
I spent 2 hours playing to get Gregory, which is extremely hard because you can only bring him gifts to do so. In my first playthrough (another 2 hours) I got solitude and so for my second one I wanted to interact with greg more, thinking it would lead to some sweet ending where the cat softens his heart and we live happily ever after.....but its basically just another rainbow road and I was bawling my eyes out. Honestly all the endings made me cry, even the happy ones. The Met my Mama was sweet and happy but it still made me cry to think of all the pain it took to get there, and now he can finally be safe and happy. And all the other endings, just the fact that their addressed to mama and the way they're written...just ripped my heart out bobby and Simon are my other favourites...but its still bittersweet that he never finds his mama.

My first two endings were Rainbow and Solitude (of course), but then something possessed me into getting the Long Journey next. I just really, really, really wanted to see Gregory Park become a better person. Now that I've gotten all the endings and the little side stories, I can say without a single doubt the Gregory's ending is the worst. I went into the game having never heard of it, and this is the first time I've looked up anything about it (I couldn't remember whose ending Protect the Loved Ones was and I want to get them all again in order). Going through everything with him, even going as far as to save his life, you'd think that he wouldn't just let you die. This game really goes far to say how awful humans are. And yet, they're not ALL bad. But none of the animals are bad. In fact, all of them have the same survival instincts, even Doggo as shown by his backstory. Yet they're all kind to one another. Not to humans, necessarily, but it's not like the humans are kind to them. I just think this game really does a good job of portraying the difference between animals and humans.
Yeah. In comparison most ending is about the kind kitten changing other people and animals lives. Besides nearly all NPC are cat lovers. It is sad that he cannot changes Park's life but in term, just following the wrong person and ended up losing the precious life of his own. Also Park's ending is easily the hardest to achieve as he only appears at night and can only be pleased by gifts. It makes no sense when players have to go through all the hard works just to watch the kitten dies.

This game absolutely murdered my soul considering I adopted the sweetest orange and white street cat back in 2011. 😭 finding his mom was the best ending but every single one made me cry... and I'm not someone to cry often.
I'm playing this now, and barely get 5 ending, and ending 4 with Gregory is the worst. I'm quite happy with warm hands, and met my mama. The first time I played it, immediately get ending 6 and 5, so I recommend for those who play it for the first time to prioritize upgrade your shelter
Honestly, my favorite endings are torn between the three humans, particularly Bobby and Michelle. I like the other cats, but I never felt particularly bonded with the kittens or boss cat. My first playthrough that wasn't death or solitude ending ended with Bobby, and I have to say, I liked him a lot as a character. He's a sweet guy and him giving away huge fish to you was a huge plus. He was a nice guy and honestly a cat in a fish store is such a good thing to be. Still, it seems like the cat wasn't really happy in the end. Still, I really liked Bobby, especially when they showed him handling the guy poisoning the cat food whereas nobody else seemed to notice. I never finished my other playthroughs out of laziness, but I also liked Michelle. She's sweet and friendly and accepting and her canned fish saved me while I was upgrading my house. I found the ending where you get to meet back up with your mother as very sweet and I know it's supposed to be the best ending, but... it's probably just my attachment to Bobby. I liked Simon, but he never made my top two. He's a laid-back guy you can relate to with the whole awful boss shtick, but I guess I never just really bonded with him, although the walking around in a sweater ending was very, very cute. I'm a little sad you can't get adopted by the dog's owner, but I guess that's okay. I never really bonded with Sarah, but I also spoke with her the least of all the humans since she's in the bottom corner of the map and takes forever to walk to, especially if you want to bring her flowers. I tried playing this game but eventually stopped, because it was too hard for me emotionally. It reminded me of memories of my late pet cat Jeena, who was also a stray, and was one of the sweetest cats I've ever met. I just can't bear seeing a cat getting hurt or people hurting cats so couldn't get beyond the very beginning of the game where the mama cat gets hit by the car. Couldn't hold back my tears. Definitely not playing this game, but I do applaud the creators for making it. It does deliver messages about animal rights that everyone should know and respect.

Im pretty sure the ending with grandpa dying will start a loop. Grandpa dies, you get old, a new cat is born, the mother got hit by a car, you teach, the kid to become a street cat, the kid succeeded like you did, you died, the kid got old and a loop started

I like to imagine the "Meet my mama!"ending is a metaphor for dying, the cat we play as was sick and was caught by the human and they took us to the hospital, because we were about to die and we did, when we wake up the reason we are with our mother is because we get reunited in heaven and the human who looks after us, is God.

Most of the ending requires reaching maximum intimacy to one NPC. So just focus on one or two characters in your playthroughs and never hesitate to steal if you must. For the flower ending you just need to reach max intimacy with the kittens.
@@Jeiissleepy for example if you are going for boss cat's ending you don't need to care about the intimacy of humans and a dog anymore. Plus some key items like ban aids and big fish can only be acquired by stealing from shops. Besides most of the humans (except for the drunk guy) and the dog are cat lovers so don't worry about having them getting mad at you. Their intimacy bar will just slightly go down so it is barely any punishments.
I’ve been working on all the characters at once and always getting so close to maxing our friendship but never quite making it and getting solitude. I just gave up. Thank you for this! Poor kitty. I feel like this game has a good message.

I got solitude, and then rainbow bridge first because I wanted to get all the endings. The I went for another. I decided to go for Michelle, because she seemed like the best option, and I was right! This game is so sad though. I saw a stray cat in town one day but my family said no because we already have a cat.
You get Solitude (5) by doing absolutely nothing or not berifrending NPCs enough. It was my second ending, my first one being 6 because I let my cat be ran over by cars.

If you steal fish you lose intamancy with bobby and if you steal from glove and band ade shop than you lose intamincy with the dog

I cried for an hour after the sad endings (I got rainbow bridge then solitude)😭 when I got the good ending with his mama I refused to play the other endings & watched a UA-cam play through bc I wanted to end on the good note. I did NOT think this game would impact me this hard
