- The Three Kings Parade in Palma fills the streets with excitement among the little ones with a new route. Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar fill Palma de Mallorca with joy, peace and love, again on the night of January 5, 2024.
Every year, Three Kings Day is celebrated on January 6.
Tradition says that the Three Wise Men were in charge of going to the portal of Bethlehem following a star that showed them the way to see the Baby Jesus, who had just been born. Upon arrival, these three wise men offered him three gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh. So, every year, the children write their letters to one of the kings (or all three): Melchior, Gaspar and Baltasar.
Children who have behaved well will receive nice gifts and those who have behaved very badly risk receiving a piece of coal.

Such a big crowd. Seems residents of Palma and probably tourists really enjoy this tradition. I can't really tell what each group is representing, but it's always so enjoying to watch. Every year people come up with the most creative costumes and activities.
