Google Pixel 8a: Pricing is Not the Only Issue!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 тра 2024
- Google Pixel 8a has launched in India starting at ₹52,999. This phone is definitely overpriced but that's just the tip of the iceberg. The Google Pixel 8a has a lot of issues that no one has mentioned in their videos or articles. There's still overheating, the cameras don't fare well and even the download speeds in mobile data is very less compared to other phones.

The hype of pixels have started to burst with latest series ... tensor must be renamed as Tension chipset 😂😂
Bro…signal is the ultimate issue which they did not resolve since pixel 6
@@akhildesigns2915 Yeah but only when you pay the maximum price
Performance also
They should move to snapdragon. Exyshit is dragging them down
@@confuseddesi80Google with tensor chip is 100 times worse than Samsung with exynos
Tensor chip ❌
Tension chip ☑️
Edit-wow so much likes❤️🩹
perfect
Bhai 😂
And I only know this because again them pixel sales numbers be jumping jumping jumping! Not falling, falling falling! It's almost like nobody's getting rid of their pixels. That's a really cool stat!
Fans will lie at least a 100 times just for it not to look as bad as it is
Google has been taking people's love for Pixels for granted. Time to tell them to f off.
Google phones suck iPhones better
I don't know bro them pixel sales numbers jumping. I think y'all should do some more research on Pixel retention rate. It's actually higher than Samsung and Apple's! Instead of just talking out of your ass, even though y'all don't have a pixel in your pocket, it's actually truly sad how much hate this company gets for making the best phones in the industry.
@@TaureanSmoke Bruh I'm a Pixel fanboy, I've a Pixel 6a, and was planning to buy Pixel 9 Pro XL on the launch over a Pro iPhone, but if these issues stay in 9 Pro XL, I might switch to iPhone. No one wants to pay $1000 on a phone and get basic network & heating issues 🥲. And it gets worse, in India Pixels are overpriced af, Pixel 8 Pro is currently selling at ~$1300, in US it's $900. And the fact that 1 Dollar =~ 85 Indian Rupees, want to say something now? 😂
Honest review.. kudos🎉 people wouldn't have noticed those issues untill they buy it. No other reviews mentioned those issues
Thank you for prioritising connectivity at the top. Because everyone is talking about camera and software but no-one is taking about the connectivity which is the Primary job of a phone
Why turn it off
When 5g is enabled
That's probably because most people don't have issues with the connectivity and the connectivity issues are relegated to places that don't have all the same radios as America! It's almost like it's the reason you live in just like with most things! I wonder if y'all talk shit to PlayStation about not being available in most regions in the world! Or I wonder if y'all just deal with your shitty PlayStation in the region that is not allowed in. Cuz I'm pretty sure it's the ladder!
it is suspicious that so many reviewers are complaining about that "UFS 3.1" speed. Very weird.
Yeah Fr besides the pixel 8 suck
@@NoshikiYT I don't know about that bro. The pixel 8 popping! And doesn't overheat in video games like the 15 pro Max does! There's people still on Reddit complaining about the iPhones overheating.
Connectivity is ffffddd up to all pixel phones. Same issue with my pixel 7 pro
1:17 This is how google phone works initially but after a week of usage, the heating issue calms down a lot. It just understand the adaptive usage of user. I also use pixel 7, i was having same issue for 1st week but after that i am completely satisfied, it gets warm than normal phone but it is not firey hot
I missed when mid-ranged means 13k-18k and we actually get good phones at that range
Exynos laughing from corner.... google should stop using exynos base processor insted of layingoff their employees
Need to switch off adaptive network option
@@siddharthnobell does this solve all heating/cpu throttling/network issues.
What ever u say, tensor(alias exynos) always sucks. They have worst modem out of all processors available in market.
Pixel 8 vs Pixel 8A
you're also getting a phone with thinner bezels and a brighter, higher-quality display. Arguably even better cameras with bigger sensors, a bigger battery, faster charging, IP68, and it's the same Tensor G3 -Marques Brownlee
Pixel 8a is just 300f After trade in
yes as a pixel 7a user i can confirm that connectivity is poor on pixels my pixel 4 has better network reception than the 7a
As a pixel 8 pro user, I can confirm that the connection is perfect, especially when I'm in ultra wide band areas! I don't know why so many people are having issues with connectivity but after the pixel 6 Google fix the connectivity issue. There's a completely different modem in the phone, so if you're still having connectivity issues it's probably because you're on T-Mobile! I had to leave T-Mobile and now I'm on visible and I haven't had a single connectivity issue. People confuse the phone's connectivity issues with the connectivity issues of the actual company that they're paying. Stop paying T-Mobile and AT&t those two companies are complete shit! They have too many dead spots. They'll have you thinking your phone doesn't work. The very first week I switched to visible. I didn't have a single connectivity dropout and that's when I realized oh shit. Google is getting a bad rap for connectivity. It's literally just T-Mobile!
And it's also truly sad that their Google fi service uses T-Mobile towers, which tells me everything I needed to know when I did the research. Switch to Verizon. You'll never have another issue. I used to hate Verizon but now I realized how wrong I was!
@@TaureanSmokewell in india we got jio, airtel and VI sim and the problem you said seems to slightly matches with the VI sim
@@TaureanSmoke may be in other countries its fine but in india Pixel has the worst network reception since upgrading to tensor
Most of the point right what you're focusing, same things happened with my 7a, but after update all are normal, I think same will be with 8a also.
The best tip with Pixels is turn off 5g. Fixes overheating issues.
What is the point of using 50k Phone if u cant even utilise its features brother
No this should not be a problem in the first place. This is not a 1st gen 5g Processor.
The best solution dont buy pixels, lots of problems
Thank you for informing us about the issues
Watching from Google Pixel 6A 😎
You know "A" stands for Affordable right?
Same experience back with pixel 4a, it’s eating dust now.
Thanks. Most youtubers skip the connectivity part even if it is the most important part.
We shouldn't buy a Pixel for the same reason we don't buy the Samsung S series with exynos
Your device is defective. I do not feel any such issues, specially heating. I have s23, and am thinking of using pixel 8a as my primary device
S21 fe feels hoter than anyother phone out there while resting
Excellent review. Samsung and google should be boycotted by tech enthusiasts.
Thank you, I was about to buy one myself.
ON POINT REVIEW 📌
Seedi baath no bakwas..
Believe me when I say, the camera app delay and the bg apps closing are not just pixel 8a issues. It also happens on the 8 pro occasionally. Any manufacturer that lacks consistency, lacks reliability.
1 point to note as per my experience with pixels is usually in early days they tend to get hot as there's a lot of adaptive stuff going on.
Once the phone learns your usage pattern, it performs better and less heat.
Coming to the charging, google has adaptive charging by default on to increase the battery life.
Connectivity is no excuse for google and they have to improve it else they'll never be successful in india.
As for the camera, pixels produce REALer images and not very contrasty 1 which may look better on the phone screen.
Not trying to defend any1 here but sharing my experience as a long time pixel user.
Thanks for sharing!!
Exactly my experience with the pixel 6a. Long term users know about this, unlike the tech reviewer here.
Pixel 6 user here and you are right about this.
pixel camera are pretty contrasty actually, and in terms of details its even behind the competition
@@kohhongkai7860 I found pixel images more original son maybe your observations could be different. I tested pixel images with my wife's iphone 13 and I found my pixel 7 image quality a bit better.
Samsung and apple upped their game so I would say google is facing a tough battle on camera game.
Bhai mera to pixel 6A heater ho jata hai 🤣🤣
Pixel was good in Camera but this is not 2020 the competition give excellent camera for 20k
Why are these network issues only in Indian pixel users .... !?
I love that you are being too honest about Pixel.
Pixel Team watching this video and saying to Sunder: Sirji yeh to dhoti khol raha hai.🤣🤣
My pixel 6a burned while charging for this heating issue
If google had launched it at nearly the equivalent of the price in the US (around 42k INR), people wouldn't be SO mad about it. But 53k is just effing ridiculous for this ugly a** phone
Perfect aspect ratio to watch the video in full screen.
Kudos to beebom 😊
What I obversed with pixel phones is when launching it has multiple problems after few updates and long term performance it is best same happened with pixel 6a and all pixel phones
Google most likely will release software updates and that should address the warm issue
Using Pixel 8 Pro. The network connectivity has always been an issue on Pixels, on 7a, 7, 8 etc. Other than this, it's a great device.
If 5G is turned on the device turns too hot. My 6a battery swole in just 1.5 years. Although it got replaced for free but I have to be without phone for 15 days.
how you got it replaced ?
great reviews
Nice video 👍
That blue has become somehow a kind of an hallmark for Pixels. Very often ppl are asking me what phone this is. I ordered mine as a replacement for very used Galaxy s10e. I choose this Pixel because it's very comfortable in hand due to the round corners. I love these bezels and it's size, it is almost the same as my s10e I used to. Perfect shape, colour, and a great deal in Europe. For the rest specs, that's even too much for me. I like it has not overpowered processor so it can keep some more battery. I don't need that.
Once the phone heating starts it is out of user control. It will turn off internet and camera function by itself..I have used 5a and it's my personal experience.
Yes my Pixel 8 doesn't pose this. This heating issues on 8a because of the packaging of TPOP tech.
The cams are much more optimised on 8 and 8 pro
Connectivity as I haven't faced issues, but this is unit and regional dependent
Google lately has nerfing a series. I bet they will discontinue a series.
Not only google
Redmi
Poco
Samsung
Realme
OP
Need to understand that customer is king , as simple as that u can't fool ppl, they r taking un due advantage. Tech reviewers are sort of ppls voice these guys should time and again tell these legacy smartphone manufacturers to listen and correct
that's because tensor use Samsung chip(including network chips) so it's very unstable
I had pixel 7a other than software it's just a scrap... network and connectivity is so pathetic...at last I exchanged it
Tensor should be made on tsmc instead of samsung (I know tensor is exynos but still)
Or they should do a collaboration with snapdragon and develop the flagship specially optimized for pixel devices just like how samsung got 8 gen 3 (for galaxy)
For its specs and screen quality 499 is quite good
The reviewer got overconfident in the later part of the video when he said that Google has done no innovation in the last few years. In the last few years, Pixel got its distinct look, the Tensor chip, and a long software support cycle. Google has a distinct vision for the future of Pixel and they are building it slowly but steadily. It(Pixel) is not going anywhere. But one thing is sure: Pixels will never have raw hardware power; rather, they will have software-based sophisticated computing power. The pricing in India could improve though…
Tensor is just a rename Exynos chip, what you can expect from exynos
Your findings seem off about this phone. For example, that charging speed is odd - I charge my regular 8 at about 15W (even slower than the quoted 8a speeds) and it takes roughly 1.5hrs. Battery/SOT is also far better than you stated. The connectivity on my G3 Pixel 8 is faultless, with 5G speeds reaching over 600MBPS in cities. Perhaps a lot of these issues stem from the heat of your country and India's mobile network? Shame that you had a negative experience with the phone. I do agree they don't seem to be prioritising the a series though.
I was going to buy this in the first week of June but now I guess I won't lol
I must say now a days only 3 brands are doing well and is serious Iqoo, Motorola and Nothing. Other brands are just following similar philosophies I'm aware Iqoo is child company of Vivo but still it is trying to give something better for the price I'm using Iqoo 9T for more than 1.5 years and it's still good as new and also getting timely updates.
Excited for the launch of Motorola Edge 50 Fusion as well.
Motorola phones suck mainly because of trash software updates the phones are ass besides the Motorola edge phones those are actually nice even the 2022 edge is amazing based on UA-cam reviews
Will wait for tensor 10. 👍
This phone is really a piece of sh*t then😂😂. Will prefer OnePlus/Samsung
thank god someone said the truth..
Software update could fix it ?
fix what?? trash hardware??
Most of these problems come from Exynos brother I mean Tensor g3
G drive link have Iqoo 12 samples 😂 please check
To be honest I bought this phone before watching this video. I wish I would hv watched it b4 buying. 2 major problem I found in this phone is charging. Charging get drain very quickly. Secondly the major one is heating problem. Evening if u r using it for normal purpose u ll feel warm . N also I don't front camera is totally rubbish....I get reddish pictures .
But MKBHD said google has started to make good phone since Pixel 8 in his recent pixel 8a review!!
Wow thanks for the facts, eff it. Pixels off the ytb charts
No one have problem when apple gives 18w charger for 1 lakh rupees with that massive notch
Edit: Many people are saying I am comparing apple to pixel, no I am just saying if you are going to make that many compromises for a phone at that cost then why can't you make a compromise for a phone at half of its price?
Apple's battery backup is also superior to pixel's..
Why google can't fix this thermal issue.. they're the richest tech company...
Please stop this..
I have noticed every UA-camr starts judging a smartphone in just a hour of using it.
He is literally comparing this smartphone with nothing phone 2, its been 1 year of nothing phone 2, so much updates, a year of experience, the phone has been charged more than 1000 times may be...
Try to think like this .
Never judge
Bhai jo problem hai abhi, woh to sabko batana padhega..
People should buy a phone as per what you get out of the box, not for what’s promised down the line..
Agar software updates se connectivity issues thik nahi hua, tab? Aap jaake in logon ko phone doge kya?
I am seriously waiting for big billion days so that i will get discount on Pixel 8a. But it seems i have to change my mind. My nothing phone 1 has become slow now and its not doing well. Currently i am getting Pixel 8a for 39999 but i have the budget of only 35K. Google must fix these problems in upcoming updates.
How are you getting Pixel 8a for 39k? Exchange?
@@mr_ks_gaming Yes Exchange and launch offers with Credit Cards.
You should go for galaxy S23 instead
@@betelgeuse4187 My brother has S23 and he got a green line issue on screen so that's the reason I don't want a galaxy device. My only preference is the camera. Pixels have the best camera. So that's the reason I am going for Pixel 8.
Used Pixel 6A , replaced it under 6 months never going to use a google phone again until they improve heating random switch offs connectivity slow charging. Google should stop making the phone and give the contract to some other company just like Nexus phones .
They will patch most of this with software updates. Google is a newbie in hardware it may take sometime
Thank you for saying it as it is.
As someone who's a big fan and a long time user of Pixel hardware, it's sad seeing the way Google is treating their Pixel division.
Hopefully, the folks at Google don't fumble the bag, given that Pixel devices have demonstrated its ability for success.
Weird that many of these unbiased utuber are comparing pixel with iqoo 12...hmm sus
Connectivity issues and paired with Android's doze mode slowing down notifications are encouraging me to move away from android. I enjoy stock Android experience, but that doesn't justify these very big problems. Even losing on the camera front? Damn! What's the point of instant messages if the notifications don't arrive instantly? Even Samsung's S24 series is just a gimmick software update, nothing new to be noticed. All this AI BS and ignoring the basics of the phone. Call me whatever you want, but iPhones seem to be on a better track than Android lately - getting the things users have been asking for, better optimization before releasing something, customisation is fine too, and taking their time to polish the experience before releasing it in beta for the sake of keeping with the trend.
Ok.. I agree everything abt performance connectivity and all. But when you say the pictures are better in Iqoo than Pixel.. 😅 How can I take you seriously after that
you can check the camera samples from the link in video description.
Iqoo has better cameras...come out of your shell...VIVO has better cameras than pixels in top flagship category too ...
Google has lost the early mover advantage in cameras. Their cameras aren't that special anymore. Other than the 'pixel look' ofcourse. 8a cameras does not justify it's price tag. Other brands have caught up.
the internet speed issue maybe related to some bands not being supported to south asian countries, it is common in pixel phones
Only Chucknical Gruujee praised the phone.
Bikk gayi gormint!
The main problem is tensor soc
conclusion: don't buy pixel phones unless they fixes every problem
If you get scratches on GG3, GG5 or GG Victus will get it even faster.
After hearing all such problems it's better to buy the Samsung Galaxy S23 which is having Snapdragon processor also in it.
Pixel will be fixed next year guys, because tensor is basically exynos, and exynos 2400 is actually good without issues, hence tensor g4 will be good
It's the Samsung manufactured processor which is causing the issue
I agree with you, someone speaks the truth about pixel phone
The fact that he said he prefers the photos taken by iqoo better than pixel makes me question his credibility as a reviewer.
Exactly 💯
If a phone can't do basic tasks it ain't worth it
Google pixel should represent their android in every aspect incl gaming and what are they doing💀
if Qualcomm has Snapdragon for Galaxy, Google has Exynos for Pixels aka Tensor
Listen GG3 will not shatter easily, most importantly.
I would buy the iPhone 13 in this price range instead 😂
Recently got the 15 and there is almost no difference between iPhone 13 and 15
Apple phones are built to last 🙌
Yeah a good heating competition for my Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon 888 5G😂
I'm only interested in buying Xiaomi Phones and flashing it with Pixel Custom Roms ❤
1:03 wallpaper please🥲
It’s a Pixel, they are supposed to be bought after 6 months as that fixes the cons and price both 😂
Wtf... So much for a "smart" phone. So smart you can't even make a call 😂😂
I'd like to buy this phone for 25k, not moe than that🤣
you talked nothing about the colours and human subjects in photos
2:04 iQoo has better photos 🤡 While Pixel 7a ranked the highest in MKBHD's blind camera test. 8a has the same camera spec.
Same camera specs as 7a but the picture processing is trash
Also mkbhd is not even a good phone reviewer. He is in a market which doesn't even have as many options as the Indian market.
Google should scrap tensor and stick to snapdragon. The phone will automatically do better
Its better to get OnePlus 12R or OnePlus 11R or Moto Edge 50 Pro..
Non of them are compact phones...
@@Khamae77 s24 will be a great option
@@diptadyutidas but only in North America. Rest of the world is stuck with exynos.

I still don't understand why the hell Google is not using snapdragon processor, tensor chip are bullshit, pixel is such a great phone with great cameras but tensor chip is the worst. I really love my Pixel 6a but it's a heater in ur hands, I am only using it for its Android experience and cameras but tensor is 🤬. Will not recommend anyone to buy pixel.
Whatever you say iphone are now what common man use and pixels cameras are way ahead than any phone available in same price point ☝️
