The notion that he could have started the fire is called ego boundary dissolution. I've experienced it on drugs and in manic episodes, along with thought insertion and other things like that. It can be very intense and really a feeling of positive or negative, depending. I think psychosis can help you grow if you can get through it, but it's a journey to a dark place. And frankly Brian was too weak mentally to handle LSD. I'm no big advocate of LSD either.. unlike many who think you must do it and take it before you die.. nonsense.
@@4tado As someone who has dabbled in it myself, he obviously has done it several times. But the idea that he had been dropping acid daily is an overblown myth. @@4tado I mean, just from the Our Prayer dialogue, Brian's California Girls composition that he discusses in Beautiful Dreamer, and this video - that's already 3 times, and he's openly discussed other instances as well. And you are correct about Brian contradicting himself - in this video he says LSD is the last drug he took even though he became a heavy cocaine and pill abuser years after he stopped taking LSD. No disrespect to Brian here, and I'm not saying people shouldn't take LSD (it really comes down to the person and their own brain chemistry, it's not for everyone) but Brian had plenty of psychedelic experiences.
@Officer Gregory Stevens I really want to try it as a number of my friends have had nothing but positive experiences. The first I’d ever heard of lsd as a child was from my mother, whose best friend headlined the local news after jumping from a multi-storey building. She had to explain that it was due to taking lsd once when she was 15, she even used the phrase “it Brian Wilson-ed her”, which led to more questions. I’ve had mental health problems since being a kid (not psychotic though) and have the horrible feeling that it would have that affect on me. For that reason, interested to know how extreme his lsd use was.

I believe in psychokinesis and have had experiences of it, not to this extreme. I have never took psychedelics as I grew up being aware of my mum’s best friend jumping off a train station in 1994 (remarkably still alive but has suffered with psychotic episodes that have seen her sectioned many times). Never been taken by cannabis either but i actually believe this kind of thing is possible. Unfortunately, under the circumstances, it is hard to tell which is relevant with BW here.
I had a nightmare once where I could feel smoke on the other side of the room, as though it was a fire and I couldnt wake up!... turns out there had been a fire in a place I used to live at. crazy, right? Dude he was taking acid every day. There isn't anyone who would recommend that. Most people can handle a few entheogenic trips in their lifetime.
Nicholas Shackleferd he wasn’t taking it every day, it’s believed he only did it about 2 or 3 times

i remember seeing this on a PBS showing of a documentary late 80s early 90s -> isnt there scenes of motorcycle riding after this?
Yeah. The documentary was titled The Beach Boys: An American Band
"There'll be a hot time in the old town tonight" Bobby sox sang. "so what!" his brother said."Hay, John. A man, a plan, a canal, Panama."
Just what the actual fuck
What's ur deal?
???
Bad ass!
Let's all simultaneously remove our heads, for the common great.
Where is the first part of this interview from? It looks like the late 90s or so.
Im guessing 1995.

I don’t think lsd was the last drug he took
What was it then?
leandro cabrera this all happened in 67 but he continued to smoke pot and did cocaine in the 70s
@@mitchellmcintosh298 I think he just means the last one he tried for the first time.
He did heroin and cocaine in the 70s and 80s. The overprescribing of psychotropic drugs did a lot of damage, including brain damage.

How? many? buildings? burn down everyday in Greater Los Angeles, just a coincidence there was a fire nearby.
Methinks you may have missed the point.
Not a Fire music session. Wrong studio.
Ok Danny Hutton 👍
And people are mad that Mike Love had to take control of the band when Brian was doing crazy nonsense like this.
This nonsense is fucking badass tho
