Taking on the personality of one with Down's Syndrome lets Patch relax into being entirely in the moment in simple pleasures, just reacting to what he sees and feels around him, and it gives permission for others nearby to relax and be simple and happy too. Medical staff spend so much time stuck in their heads being intellectuals, they so rarely get encouraged to just be and to lead with their hearts, senses, and emotions. I'm sure when clown Patch visits, it is as healing for the staff, if they let themselves relax and enjoy it, as it is for the patients.

My highest form of respect goes out to you, for someone who is a Doctor has extreme intelligence and knowledge and is still able to maintain humble. Wish a lot of people were like you not only doctors but lawyers, and all the other careers, God bless you, you are an angel in disguise and I am not gay, just inspired, and if anyone gay is reading this, by this comment I am not saying there is anything wrong with being gay, I am just simply stating that I am not, and that is admiration I feel for Patch.

Hello patch, If your reading this. You thought me happiness and to cherish family members and friends and strangers alike. I had a cousin, We used to play a lot, He was always happy, He died of cerebral palsy and lung problems, But that never ruined our fun times together. Until the last day we played video games, Until he was rushed to the hospital. Until the very last day he was happy and grateful, He said his farewell to my aunt then passed away. After he passed away i saw an article about you, A doctor that makes patients laugh and make them happy. Just thinking about it, You and my cousin would have been good friends. May he rest in peace. But now i say to my self why not be good to all people, I can always make people lighten up there day by just saying hello. Go to a table with a single person sitting on it and just say hello and chat with him or her. I always tell to myself. All of my friends was just strangers when i first met them, why not make some more. I’m sorry if this comment is too long. But if you reading this, The only thing i can say to you is thank you and that i appreciate your work.

Hello friend! I am currently Patch's personal assistant. Despite the knowledge of their story ending the following day, four of the men celebrated life along with Patch. The fifth pleaded with Patch and the guards to be released. Unfortunately, it was not within Patch's power to grant this request. Until you draw your last breath, you are still living. Its far better to be thankful for one more day, than dread the time your story comes to an end.
