Hi there, I know this is a year ago, but it looks like they have changed the fitting kit, it now looks like one one of the fitting go on where looking bolt for the original bolt goes.
Have you considered angling/ flaring the 3p mounts out toward the rear? Would require attachment points off the frame, but fab them up easily? Maybe a slight adjustment there could allow the room you needed?
I have the SH23 and they keep partially coming off after I go over bumps and have fell off today while riding. Any suggestions on securing the boxes better
Ricky, interesting. Thanks for posting. So your bike came with BMW pannier preparation, you mentioned in the text. I see you took that off. Say you buy a bike without BMW pannier preparation, can you retrofit that, you think?
Hi Eric, yeah I think it would be easy enough to fit the OEM BMW pannier frame, it just bolts into existing threads if I remember correctly, not much disassembly required!
Hmm not something I have ever tried or even wanted to try on my bikes Rikky just never fancied the bulk that they look to have top box yes for sure , I would probably use soft or throw over paniers maybe as long as they were small ish have seen some actually but if you need them then I guess they have to be on the bike .😉👍
Hi Roland, sorry for the slow reply, I have some catching up to do with my comments! I have taken a look but the work required to modify the bracket mounts are far enough beyond my current skill level for me to just accept it as it is... I'd only make a mess of it if I tried!
They are made by Shad too. I use the panniers to carry clothes and have a shad top box that expands to hold both helmets , gloves and stuff when we stop.

I have given that a little thought but my fabbing skills are not great! Maybe one day I'll try to knock something up - thanks for your comment 👍

I’ve put the Shad System on mine also as I’ve converted the back into a single seater cowl so had to come up with a different luggage solution 👍
This is all good fun isn't it... costly but fun!

Can you make a packing plate between the panniers and the bracket

The pannier mount fits bettter if you have it bolted the other side of the exhaust mount. The instructions arent very good.
Thanks John, I'll take another look at it.
I have the BMW BAGS on my R1200R, you can't get any better and they will both hold a full face helmet!
I think you are right about the BMW bags - the SH36's can probably take a helmet each but I can get a full face in my Givi top box anyway 😊

You need a 3D Printer...
