I love this as a retirement home as it's one level and much easier for when you’re older than zile watu wanajenga "magorofa"and can't use the home when they get older.
Great job!! Kenya need more contractors like Peter who can be trusted and honest to do there job perfectly without supervision and to the satisfaction of the client.

Such an informative content. As a designer based in Tanzania I have learnt that building a house in Kenya is almost triple the price in Tanzania due to the construction materials used. But there is much much more quality assurance in Kenya
@@AfrikanTraveller Yes I think you guys are building mostly using stone while we here mostly use sand cement blocks. All in all good content brother. If I get a chance to visit kenya moving around will be easier thanks to your content, tours and drone shots.
This is very inspiring. Congratulations on finishing your house , it is beautiful. I just quit my job here in the US and sold my belongings. I'm on the way home hoping to build something as beautiful as this . Blessings on your new journey
I’d recommend mounting the TV above the fireplace and adding a reading nook on both ends with open shelves. It would be a comfy place for the grandkids
Just a quick ? For Julie. Would you consider those points for your home or it's just critic at this point. If yours is above the fire place, could you share a pic so we get your point. Ty
Nice house though don't agree with the TV stand thing.Because of the reflection of LIGHT you cannot place the TV in front of the windows. Identify one of the wall especially the accent wall and mount the TV
Beautiful home. The colours hmmmm, I think it's a matter of taste. If you use white paint the rooms will be much brighter. Like I said less is more. The kitchen tiles look too busy but again that is your taste. In all job well done. Plant some trees as well.
You have spoken my mind. People underestimate the power of white paint. Makes the room very bright, airy and create an illusion of a bigger space. Also the kitchen tiles are very busy
Thanks Africa Traveller....this is the right house for aging parents.Maneno ya gorofa...Do they think through it how they will get upstairs when they are old?
I agree those tiles are not nice, they have ruined the kitchen and the cupboards are a bit too small. I did not like the flashing blue lights in the living room. It must be an African thing. Otherwise it is a beautiful house. It is nice that you honour your parents to make them happy and comfortable.
The american that Elvis Derry interviewed JT the Bigga Figga of TrapFlix TV youtube channel has left West Africa for good and now intends to settle in Mbuvo, Makueni County on the Wote-Makindu Road. He says the local landowner giving him a good deal as he will build and donate 4 public water wells to local villages. Other black american families following him there in coming weeks and months. I'm finding his story very interesting and i remember you mentioned him once on your livestream about maybe also doing an interview.
Peter Kudos. whatever is just a little a miss is that the Door for the Entry Porch should be on the main gate side not the other side. You have to pass the porch to use the other side to enter. Anyway good Job
Wow, This is such a beautiful project.Great information included as well.Peter did a good job I will be recommending him at my home.Well done African Travelle.
Guys consider installing solar panels on the roofs and a battery bank. I think all Africans building new houses should do that. There is plenty of sun in Africa, even in raining season. Start small and increase the solar system slowly. Before you know you have 30 KW system. Congrats by the way! :)
Peter, you got me hooked to every one of your videos. Great content bro. Always looking forward to your next upload. Kudos and thumbs up for honouring your parents.
Well ask me why I’m here today??? Cause I want to build a house for my dad. My mum passed on 2019 a sudden death which makes me so sad cause she won’t see how happy I am to have been brought up by her despite all those challenges. I’m 24yrs and Now that I got a chance to get to the US🇺🇸it’s high time I build up that house 🏠 Thank you John for this and again Peter is a genius sheeesh🔥💯💯 I came here for the costs I have seen how the house came out later🔥🔥

I suggest the TV be mounted over the fireplace

Tv shouldn't be mounted that high. I would disagree completely with that.
Maybe opposite the fireplace.

I can see Peter being a very busy man in the future. Lesson to the contractors honesty pays off.
I wish him all the best.
This house is so beatifull thanks for sharing with us
What a professional Peter is. I would recommend him to build my home. Cost estimate for a 3 bedroom in a 50*100 plot in pipeline nax?
I would definitely recommend him.
Thanks Africa Traveller....this is the right house for aging parents.Maneno ya gorofa...Do they think through it how they will get upstairs when they are old?
One can opt to have a master bedroom ground floor other bedrooms upstairs
Transparency is key for a contractor, Kudos Peter!
My friend the chandeliers are products of Eastleigh go and walk n you'll see wonders.
N bdw they're much cheaper than anyplace in Nairobi
Thank you African Travelers for the content you bring. I enjoyed this one in particular. This guys is good and knows what he is doing.
Thank you, appreciate the feedback.
A ramp could also be considered along with steps at that entrance, steps not easy to negotiate when one is older just saying super home. ☘️🇨🇮💚
My opinion too.
Good house. I feel like he would have done better with the choice of kitchen tiles.
I agree, and some of the floor tiles.
I agree..the house is so beautiful.I was only disappointed with the kitchen tiles...too busy .
Maybe that's his mothers taste I think a lot of women choose kitchen fittings
I think it is a personal taste not the contractors

Nice work but the kitchen tile seems too worked up and not appealing to coolness
This is good...you will be blessed for giving your parents a beautiful place like this to pumzika😘
