- Former first lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta has sued the government over ownership of a 1000-hectare piece of land in Taita Taveta. Mama Ngina, together with former Taveta Legislator Basil Criticos, wants the courts to compel the chief lands registrar and the attorney general to issue them with the original certificate of title for the piece of land. The duo, who claim joint ownership of the land, are challenging the decision of government officials to refuse to issue them with the critical document.

She's suing the state over land she may have obtained unlawfully, likely during her tenure as first lady. Her family's land holdings, almost equivalent to the size of Taita Taveta, make the disputed 1000 hectares almost seem like nothing in comparison, Not to mention the immense wealth she has, including shares in listed companies, private companies, real estate investments, etc.
I think its only fair that the state assumes control of this land and uses it for benevolent purposes, like growing food or housing the thousands of Kenyans who are homeless, displaced or have fled their homes due to terror.
She's 90 years old, one has to ask, at what point will she feel contented with her wealth

Shockingly, as per Law Court documents, Kenyatta family owns not only Taita Taveta county but almost entire Coast region Kwale, Malindi, Mombasa and Kilifi, not mentioning the Nairobi, Mt. Kenya and Rift-valley regions! this was after the British went kicked out of the country, Mzee and his family owns a huge chunk of landmass illegally!

The government should repossess this junk of Land once and for all. When they were grabbing this land were there no local human beings there? This is not about Ruto. I don't like Ruto, but i don't like Kenyatta family either. They're all thieves, none is better and i don't like thieves. All i care is that the people whose lands were grabbed should be refunded as it is supposed to be. But i'm still not hopeful of Ruto either. He is a thief and a known land grabber. It's one thing me being happy the government is taking by force what Kenyatta grabbed. But it's an entirely different thing if the real owners of the land will be given those lands. It might just be a case of one grabber grabbing from another grabber. Let's just hope for the best.
