Does your dog give you the impression that something is standing in his throat and he is trying to pull it out?
She may have kennel cough.
The main symptom you will notice in your puppies or adult dogs if they get sick with kennel cough is acute cough, which gets worse over time. The cough becomes more intense when your pet is excited for some reason (eg when a family member returns home). Also, young animals that pull a lot on their walk, may experience a very severe cough due to the pressure of the collar on their throat.
If there are complications, your dog may have anorexia and will not be as lively. If the condition develops into pneumonia, your dog will also have severe shortness of breath.
