- Finally made it back from my Louisiana trip and I’m back in the shave den. Today I’ll be trying out a soap and aftershave from Stirling Soaps-Stirling Blu. My friend and fellow Wetshave Stephen Davidson sent them to me to try out. Stirling Blu has been apparently discontinued and is an homage to Polo Blue Cologne.
It’s been 3 months since I’ve used the Osprey in a video and it’s about time that I bring one of my favorite Blackland Razors back on camera.

Ken I love the Jim Rockford photo, it always makes me smile when I watch you. I remember watching the show with my dad when I was a kid. One of my favourite places to eat is Paradise cove in Malibu, which is where they filmed Jim’s trailer on the beach 😊

Great shave. It’s been extremely cold here in Chicago for the last several days, but the temps are supposed to go back to normal soon. So we can finally have some relief, not that I don’t like freezing cold weather, but at least we get back to tolerable temps. Have a good one!

Ken I stumbled upon your videos trying to find alternatives to the “straight razor” to line up my beard at home without the barber. I learned about the safety razor but now I’m tempted to try a wet shave of my entire beard. Seems like a relaxing hobby to get into to get started for the day! Thanks so much!

Excellent shave Ken. I figured that you would pick this one first. Can't wait to see the others. I would shave off the moustache with the $1K razor from Sweden myself. Youd would get to see how it does against some light and heavy growth. The only brick and mortar store that I know of outside of Pastuer's pharmacy in NY is Maggard Razors in Adrian, MI. Loads of stuff and quick to ship too.

$1000 razor probably wont shave any better than the Osprey or the Konsul. It's more for the looks. It is pretty.

I stopped into Razor Emporium (live in Phoenix) after he did the video and Matt showed the razor to me. We had a good discussion on $1k razors and how nuts they are. It’s a gorgeous razor, but I bet my Merkur does just as good. Im curious to see what you think.

I happen to watch Matt Pisarcik shave with the Blackland Osprey two days ago. And he didn't liked it at all. (finished the shave with a Fatboy.) So I guess another case of YMMV.

We don't have a shave store in Alabama at all. I don't think in Tennessee or Mississippi.
Nah, the $20 razor does the same job as the $1000 razor only difference is the quality of the metal and of course the price and the blade you use.
