Do you prefer Dark Theme in Revit?
More importantly would you prefer to see my Revit tutorials and courses in Light or Dark Theme?
I welcome Dark Mode, but why doesn’t it apply to the dialogue boxes (Type Properties and others )?
Thats not dark mode 😂😂😂😂😂😂 of course revit half bakes a feature just to label in the new release. so much is still white. Its not dark mode
as someone who's light-sensitive, I prefer this one
For work, dark is better. But for your tutorials, I think white would be much clearer
Windows dialogue are still white. I think they will update to the rest. At least, I'm start being happy with this dark theme. Even it's not fully dark yet.

You always had it!. Its called shape edited floors. It does exactly the same thing, haha
@@OleDr I'm not interested horrible workarounds;-) But you are right, it's similar and it was easy for the programmers to solve the problem by using on-board resources.
@@baenzifly No one is talking about workarounds. Im telling you that if you wanted topo to work like this, then you already had it in 2023 with the floor command. The previous toposurface tool was better though.
@@OleDr I usually create topo from importing dwg files. how would you do this with floors?

The use of voids on topographies, genius move!!!! I hated the building pads 😤.
I don't know why...but I don't like the new dark theme...don't get me wrong. I do the dark theme on all the programs and devices that I use, but as for Revit, I prefer it to remain on the white style... because this is what will appear in the final paper, whether printed or PDF

But i think you can keep the canvas same while still having everything else dark theme
totally agree. after working in ms dos with black background for 50 years, then another 50 in hell with Autocad on black background with pink and purple lines, then finally we moved to black lines one white background like the final product when revit came along. So it's totally not understandable to me how anyone would want to go back to that horror autocad look and feel.

Yes, I think this was quite an improvement. Hopefully they will continue to impress us! :)
I think with the subscriptions the one benefit is it more accessible without it being a hacked version, so their is a higher traceable demand and allows them to improve their products at a better pace compared to when it was buy or hack only
@@ieatplanets7086 sub fees are basically the same cost as perpetual was they wouldn't be doing subs unless it made them more money
@@52thephotoshop I agree, but not everyone could afford the $8-15k it costed to own, as well as you would still have to pay to upgrade to the newest version. It is much more accessible now

we need freeform scope boxes, we could adjust the height for the past couple versions. Ive also made my own dark theme prior to this update but glad its baked in now. But thank god the the updated topo. Great videos btw!

Amazing how autodesk raise us well. They gave us few minor "improvements" ( fixes) for a load of money and we are all impressed. Come on guys. I am waiting for 50% sale for new release, this improvement will impress me personaly. Maby the price for America is not expensive, but there are other countries in the world.

The fact that dark mode makes the top three “best new features” on many Revit 2024 videos says it all.
There are so many ‘low hanging fruit’ updates that they could have picked from the Revit ideas forums which would have been more fruitful

@@AussieBIMGuru Why do I need Dynamo to complete such a basic operation that ALL CAD software were capable of doing ....30 years ago. And apart of Dynamo what else ....Why that simple line cannot be finished with a dot or arrow like in Archicad....Dynamo too?

Thanks for the video. Did they remove the feature to make a topo from imported data points? This feature is very important for me as I usually get my data from the civil team as a 3d cad.

1st. THNX for the video B.A. scope boxes. why - still - not possible to adjust the width and depth parameter of the scopeboxes??? only the height?? this issue exists for many years now. FIX it AutoDesk. how much longer do we have to wait?! 🤨 and for your question, Light Theme works better.
fortunately, it appears that autodesk still thinks that we shouldn't have live spellcheck. I understand that this is a new concept. Only been around since the 1980's 8-(
I think white background is the evolution of black background in CAD. Dark mode is for mobile devices where you waste less battery, Revit has no sense in dark mode for me, I love when you see the result while you work similar to the PDF export
We need more structural update.
I prefer designing drawings on REVIT but it lacks some structural features that other softwares provide and that makes me so mad...

It's past time for Autodesk to put one more tab (beam) on this tool! There are several complaints on the Forum, but they do not read!

Have you tried the Beta MODFLOW plugin? It's incredible with the incorporation of Model result analysis and visualization. Epic Games came to my firm to show 100 year flood scenarios at exisiting structured and drawn. The stress loading factors were spot on with our calcs.

Is there a way for me to keep previous progress on twinmotion models even after I have updated my Revit model? Because every time I update it even the slightest bit, all of the materials reset to default

Revit is an official recognition by Autodesk that they failed with Autocad
scope boxes. adjust the height parameter. great! BUT STILL NO possibility to adjust the WIDTH AND DEPTH . 😒 unbelievable. when??? V2030? such a pity. but thnx for making the video BA 👍
This is great but as a bim certified software : Come on Autodesk ! Moove on on your IFC mapping and user-friendly UI and give every keys to your users for managing their data ( And not only entity and ObjectType... BuildingSmart is nearly IFC 4.3.1.0 and it's still a nightmare on software to link everything)

Вроде бы и ничего, но все поверхностно(. В итоге мы получаем улучшенную плиту для генплана и немножко оформления. Все старые проблемы так и остались, в семействе до сих пор нельзя нормально настроить видимость отдельно для каждого вида, закладные детали приходится делать через IFC арматуру ( ради таблицы), ограждения до сих пор нормально не специфицируются, крыши не правильно строятся, витражи выдают сплошные пересечения, светильники так же самопересекаются, линии по углам округлые, высота строки через параметр, расчетные параметры нельзя объединить в столбце, высоту строки колонтитулов нельзя изменить вообще, круглый витраж не построить, панель витража сделанную семейством не подрезать, лестницы не вырезаются, нет марки многослойной конструкции, модуль сталь сырой, HDRI карты отсутствуют, вырезание вложенных семейств невозможно, нельзя автоматически соединять стены "под углом", одним словом очень много старых недоделок.
Dark theme is probably the best feature to come out, for those of us who work til' late.

That Twinmotio link doesn't work so well. E.g. light positions are not synced, with the TMO lights all clustered in the same place. Trees still don't get auto translated, as they do in Enscape.
ArchiCAD has been driving since 1987
So have they started including fire and sound limits into revit 2024 ?

You talked about exacations with new toposolid but how it works when you need to "add" terrain fills, a common situation with slope terrain houses...
