I wince when I read comments under this video that criticize this woman for looking down. Anyone silly enough to overlook that a., she speaks English as a second language, and b., she performed an ENORMOUS amount of material at this concert and relied on a teleprompter at her feet for help with the lyrics. Forget your virtue-seeking criticism, close your eyes, and listen to one of the most brilliant female vocalists of this century. Put her with this world-class orchestra and killer arrangements, and there is nothing finer. And by the way, nobody has ever sung this Bacharach composition as beautifully as Oosterhuis. I watch this once a week and probably will for the rest of my life.
Literally every version I've heard of this song was done by someone who used it as a vehicle to showcase their voice and/or vocal dexterity. Oosterhuis, on the other hand, uses her voice to showcase the grace and beauty of the song. She doesn't overpower it...she (and the marvelous arrangement) becomes part of it.
I think this is Stunning,,She has beautiful tones in her voice..Power & Grace..The song sounds difficult to deliver..The melody 2.00 to 2.15 is almost outside sounding..She handles it Brilliantly..I think this would be an avoid song for a lot of singers..Trijnte Oosterhuis you are one impressive Lady..
This happens to be Peter Tiehuis, who jammed with Vai and all guitargods of the world. In fact this whole orchestra is packed with worldclass musicians.

SHE SHOULD BE THE ONE TO LISTEN TO CONCERT VENUES NOT THAT TAYLOR OR RIAHANA ETC. WHO SPREAD DARK AND SKIN.
And now we know why Burt Bacharach chose her to work with him.
How is Trijntje not world famous with the voice she has? So beautiful.... Tell me please.........
When you think that Celine Dion became a global mega star and cannot hold a candle to this wonderful woman...
Luther Vandross would be smiling in heaven.
