The guitar player is out of this world! So smooth, it almost sounds like he's plucking the strings of a harp! Phenomenal. And of course, Trijntje just slays whatever she lays her voice to.
Trijntje is world class. In fact she sings Bacharach songs better than the original artists, and they were really good -Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, Dionne Warwick, Bobbie Gentry. AND this is totally live, no orchestra, no re-takes, but perfect. I doubt she gets the accolades she deserves. Go the Dutch!!!!!
I think Karen Carpenter did the best version of Bacharach's Close to You, but I think Trijntje Oosterhuis does the best version of "Alfie" I've heard. I wonder if she also does "Loneliness Remembers What Happiness Forgets".
Ma, fenomenalni ste, svega čega se uhvatite puni srca dušu, otkriće kao da živim na nekom drugom svijetu, Alfie, Trijntje i gospodin na gitari mislim Španjolac virtuoz, samo Hvala i.... ❤️...
BURT FREEMAN BACHARACH - Gone but never forgotten! "Alfie" - Burt's favorite composition. I was fortunate to see him many times and this arrangement sterling - Thank you Trijntje Oosterhuis. Beautiful and translucent voice as we remember this iconic and incomparable composer who blessed the world with his musical genius.
That is why composers and songwriters like Bacharach and David create songs like these that only Super Divas like Dionne, Trijntje and a few other; can Perform to a Special level of Feeling and Pressence.
Now, that’s what I called artists. No where to hide, just a guitarist and a voice. Hugely talented,…..superb performance!

This takes guts as a singer! Wow! The guitar player is a one man show! This is just Splendid!!! ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
the voice Netherlands brought me here. Better than Adele.

Trijntje's voice is so full of soul, I first listened to her with the Ladies of Soul. She's a world class vocalist.
I just discovered her. She is amazing. Why is she not more famous. The best version of this song I've ever heard.

How to pronounce her name ?
What a combination...and yet simple...no big band...behind...just a voice and some strings on a bit of wood...sheer quality...brilliant

Trijntje is one of our national treasures. She is good for our soul.
Best vocalist working today! Trijntje turns this film ditty into a Socratic dialogue! Phenomenal!
Gorgeous rendition of this song, made even more impressive by her language mastery!

This is one of my favorite Bacharach songs and one of the best covers of it. Excellent vocals and guitar!
Perfect. My favorite version of this song immediately.
TRINJENTE: ESTA DAMA
What a beautiful voice Trintje... You can bring tears with your voice, but even more, joy and love. Wow!
