Hi thanks for asking this question! 🤍 Everybody’s experience can be different but I personally haven’t felt isolated or discriminated against here at URI. I‘ve been able to make friends that come from many different backgrounds and some of my professors come from different ones as well so I get a pretty good diverse perspective even in the classroom. There’s also many diverse programs and organizations to be a part of. Not sure if I could say the same for Greek life as I chose not to be a part of it for the same reason that I’m not sure how welcomed I would feel as a POC in that area specifically. But while I myself am not a part of Greek life which is pretty big at this school, I have many girlfriends that are in greek life that are amazing. I feel more welcomed and represented here than at my old college.
