- Background to the Basso Profondo Trio concert.
Russian Octavists: Sergey Kochetov, Vladimir Miller, Mikhail Kruglov. Piano: Timur Kogan.
Smolny Cathedral. St. Petersburg, Russia. October 20th, 2009.
Watched this several times before realizing how amazing it is. Look at Kochetov doing his vocal warm up on a bycicle. And Millers speaking voice. Don't forget the note at 0:45 either. Like they say, if you want to spot an imposter be very familiar with the real thing. Here are three of the worlds best. Real basses making real musical notes.
The scale leading up to the low note starts on a Bb1, descends to the low note (F1)
@Aaron Anderson Agree. Profundo is right or here, oktavist. Some of today's grunters and fryers couldn't be called a bass off mic hence the comparison. Unfortunately many fans of the fake can't tell it from the real thing.
My dream to have a voice like that!
How does your voice sound now?
A useful reminder that these amazing sounds are made by real people - good luck to all three. I just hope I live long enough to hear Kruglov and Kochetov's voices develop with age as Miller's has - time is on the side of the bass voice.
There are actually basses who talk very bright and veltvet-like, but who have a thunderous bass register.
Russian Basso profondo Vladimir Miller once said that, among one million men, there was only one basso profondo.
is it just me or a there a lot of basso russians?
Personally I'd say no because Russian music focuses ALSO on the profundo and their low notes whereas western music tends to focus more on the higher voices so other profundos would be heard singing in higher repertoire as the music usually isn't written that low
@GrantKingMusic I agree with you that Miller easily has the deepest and most resonant speaking voice of the three of them, but Kruglov's voice seemed similarly big sounding in the car while he was talking. Oddly enough, Krochetev's speaking voice doesn't seem to be much lower than mine, and I'm a high baritone.
Kakvi divni, skromni ljudi a najveći umetnici na svetu u svojoj branši......
What kills me is listening to Mr. Kruglov and Mr. Kochetev when they are speaking. You would never guess that their singing voices were so low and powerful
Grant King Exactly.
Просто потрясает!!!!
As you age your register will deepen, and if you take lessons and push your register you can get there. You still need a certain disposition for it and the right technique, but working on becoming used to lower notes can help.
Kocetow has a quite high voice for a basso profundo.
But in the choir his voice is very rich
@Steven Criscione u can't, it's very low
У него настоящий Центральный бас, это редкий голос, но он чуть выше и менее гуще баса-профундо. Но при желании может петь некоторые партии для баса-профундо и "как бас-профундо"
@Max0Inq i only gave that advice cuz it actually worked for me n im able to hit the basso notes for "Do Not Reject Me In My Old Age" it took a long time for me to push my voice that low (a few sore throats helped) and i can call myself at the very least, an amateur basso profondo
Did they say that Sergey started as a baritone?
Micael Håkans Да.
yep, that was during his master class in the Netherlands you can see that video on youtube too!
... I did not know that the human voice could go so low!!! Amazing video though i have no idea what anyone was saying. 0:39
What is the song name from 1:43 ?
@Max0Inq On peut y arriver avec du travail, beaucoup de travail. Mais il faut aussi une prédisposition. Avoir le timbre de voix de Sarastro ou Osmin.
There is a version with subtitles on Alexei5's channel.
No, they said that Sergey is look like the hero-lover, but this character for tenors and baritones.
@Max0Inq Traduction: You can do it with a lot of work. And you you have to get some predisposition...
@Max0Inq i only sang with choirs and showchoir for about 5 years. never had any private lessons
Where? Cant find a channel with that name...
0:45 какая это нота?
Фа контр, но, кажется, Круглов штробасом взял ноту.
chto za pesnya na velosepede?
did she say that kochetov was a baritone firstly???
kochetov baritone...mikhail kruglov low bass....vladimir miller basso profundo....
@@adamirfan6986 no they all are profondos but she said something like kochetov after mutatuon was a baritone and his voice dropped with age?
Il y en a ailleurs aussi, mais moins. Je suis français et descend au contre sol (G-2)
What song is Vladimir singing at 2:40?
+BetitoBass Also, the songs at 0:50 and was 3:15 an actual song or just an exercise?
+BetitoBass 3:15 is when Vladimir was teaching his boys (Sasha & Nikolai?) so they were just showing the camera man.
0:50 straddles 2 pieces 1 was testing the microphones I think & the second I can't discern because, kind of common with these guys, the recording device garbled it. (The news reporter not the studio)
1:33
0:40 супер! 👍🏻😃
0:45 контр Ми👍🏼
they sound like toads..really really deep sounding toads..
no need to have luck, because it's a dream!
@Max0Inq just practice hitting the extreme low notes and youll get there in about a year or so
But this is not a vocal singing. Just shit
Monnarch Monnarchy then go back to enjoying your Cardi B garbage, and take your worthless opinions, your excruciating manner, and your flatlined brain waves with you while you’re at it
