How did I miss this video! I was looking for Vltor coverage for weeks after Shot Show and didn't find much. I've been waiting for a MLok VIS for years and this is the only video I've seen with a closeup. Thank you. Looking forward to adding a couple of these uppers to my collection, I have 2 quad and 2 KeyMod VIS uppers.
Those assholes WOULD launch an MLOK Polylithic right after I started to invest in parts for a new upper. my upper receiver is already pointless, because this is what I wanted to begin with.
It looks very nice, BUT... its not freefloat. if you're going to have a mono upper... have it freefloat too, seems like a waste. Also, if you could make a lightweight version but still durable, it looks like something I would consider if it had those changes, theres no reason to NOT go freefloat... the existing hardware for handguard can always be cut off.
If you’re referring to the vis upper that upper is free floated. I saw the prototype stripped at the factory last month and the barrel mounts as if you’re going to mount it on and regular m4 upper. The handguard doesn’t make any contact to the barrel and the barrel sits freely. I messed with it at shot show as well and there’s zero flex on the rail to even create a poi shift.

I really like the look of the VIS polylithic? 1 piece upper. Pairing that to a ADM UIC billet lower is where my mind is at

There's a little plate that comes off the bottom to access the barrelnut

How on earth can you say it isn’t freefloated? Dying to see what part you think touches the barrel on these. 😂
