Lovely layout! :) just the Blue half would be a good coaster on its own but you added a whole, even better sevens half! Love it a lot! Congrats on the great coaster
Really cool coaster, reminds me of twisted colossus with more inversions, it was a lot of fun, I would recommend slowing down chain speed on red side so you can actually have a duelling track
The Racer is being reborn. Haven't you seen the pictures of all the off season track work that's being done to this John Allen Wooden Classic Rollercoaster? It will be a cold day in hell before the Racer gets RMC'D!!! Leave Perfection Alone!!!🎢🎢💖💖
As much as I don’t think Racer should or ever will get the RMC treatment, this was executed really well! There are a few things I will change, such as replacing the first inversion or the elements right after it with a high-five element, and making the ride two separate coasters, but I think everything you put in would make for a really fun ride! I especially love the double zero g stall.
I feel like even if The Racer gets extremely rough, King's Island still won't RMC it because it was such an important coaster. It's like how Cedar Point will probably never remove Corkscrew even though it sucks. But I really like this concept!
I know Racer is a classic, and an important piece of RollerCoaster history. But cotdamn if this isnt an amazing concept. It would be too expensive and long. Dueling Coasters are just so rare. Ugh this would be awesome to have. The Racer ridership has been dropping for so long, I'm not sure their retracking efforts are going to change that. Anyways, great video and concept!
This is the most realistic rmc mockup I've seen, I'd just personally recommend adding 5-10 ft to the first hill so the train doesn't stall on the last inversion on the blue side, and the ride is plenty long for each color to be their own separate ride
Thank you! I originally had both sides about 30ft taller, but I think it looks much nicer going under the pathway, rather than having wood supports above it. I used google earth satellite images to make it accurate as possible and I had to shorten the height in order to make it fit underneath the path.
This is awesome. As someone who seems to be in the minority that never liked racer (not my home park), this would really be an amazing addition to KI. Making it möbius really would send it from a cool RMC to an elite one I think. Though if I could only pick one of the two rides to RMC in the park... I think RMCing Beast would make for a potential best coaster in the world if they did that. Slightly taller, steeper drops, less loss of speed, obviously the super smooth RMC feel, all kinds of interesting things that could be done with the straight track sections, and something super original like a new type of inversion during the ending double helix. Keep the night ride feel... dude, that'd be extraordinary.
I love the concept of RMC Racer but I think if this happened it would probably be a no-inversion layout sorta like a modern NTG but with the mobius aspect
I suppose when it comes to a kings island rmc this is a good possibility I would say if any of their existing wooden coasters were to get RMCed Racer is the most likely. The beast is to historic Woodstock express is too small and Mystic Timbers is too new
Why not build this at King's Island and gci can tract the Original Racer. That way you keep the Original Racer and have the new Generation Racer for the more advanced riders.
Great concept. 9.5/10. Only things I'd recommend are making the outward-facing wave turns inward to make a high-five element and slowing the lift hill on the red side by 1-2 mph to make the ideal racing coaster.
I’m confused on how the 2 trains can get side by side with the way they load passengers. I assume just timing? It’s very cool though, I’d love to see and ride it.
In order to get the trains side by side, I just had to time the dispatches perfectly. I didn't quite get it perfect, but this is essentially the same thing they do at the real life RMC dueling coaster, "Twisted Colossus".
Sadly I don't think this will happen, They just re-tracked the ride so... who's to say that racers could last another 50 years. Kings Island could be going for a goal to get the oldest coaster or something.
I’ve been saying for about 5yrs that KI is gonna retrack the racer for a hybrid. They won’t get rid of the history associated with the coaster itself, however I think they may end up not doing this as I’ve seen the directions they’re taking the park. The Beast is losing fans and it’s due to roughness and an outdated track layout. I think if KI is gonna do a hybrid it will be on the beast allowing them to do a separate beast themed coaster to replace the Vortex that can interact with the beast hopefully allowing them to resurrect the Son of Beast in some fashion or another
Both the Beast and Racer are too historic. Racer is obviously not being converted any time soon beings Kings Island has been retracking significant portions of it during the off seasons of late. I think Beast just needs a large scale retracking and the removal of its trims. Removing the trims might require some minor adjustments to the layout and track profiling, but I think it would definitely make The Beast considered elite again.
@@aninterestingpenguin9374 they remove those trims and there gonna have to do almost a whole new layout, that’s why IMO I don’t think if given the option or opportunity they would mess with the beast. There is no reason not to RMC The Racer. With 2 very good wooden coasters in the park, Kings Island doesn’t need a bland out and back woodie with mild elements.
