- In a new clip from 'The Drew Barrymore Show,' airing March 28, the talk show host reunites with her 'Ever After' on-screen sisters, Melanie Lynskey and Megan Dodds, to celebrate the film's 25th anniversary. The actresses come together on the show in full costumes identical to the 1998 retelling of the classic fairytale.

To this day, Ever after is still the BEST Cinderella adaptation I have ever seen. Back when everything was practical and CG wasn’t much of a thing, everything felt so much more grounded and this story was incredible
One of my favorite Cinderella movies. Angelica Houston played the evil step mother perfectly.

Ever after is one of my favorite Cinderella story adaptations, she wasn't simply a beautiful damsel in distress she was a beautiful fierce kind women who endured through difficult circumstances yet maintained her kind disposition and merciful heart vs past adaptions which some could easily interpret as dreamy eyed a damsel waiting for a prince to rescue her, through years some have made some valid arguments that Cinderella was never a damsel in distress though one might interpret her as such she always had amazing resilient qualities even in the classic tale absent obviously placed strong attributes hence I enjoy the classic version as well but Ever after did a wonderful job of showing her as a multifaceted strong individual this version has little to no room for misinterpretation in terms of the characters mix of strength and vulnerability.
In other words, she's human.

This movie is still one of the best of all time Drew Megan and Melanie and Anjelica did so well in this movie great performance by all of them and they still look so beautiful as they did back then congratulations ladies and congratulations on 25 years of this masterpiece of a film I still love it!

I Love this Movie It's my favorite Movie from Drew Barrymore .
I watched that movie many times, so much of it I had memorized.
Many moments changed how I thought also. The prince showing her the trees and the subsequent quote; her quote about the royalty first making the theives and then punishing them; her using a sword to get out of slavery.
I still have her characters hope, that all could be better by acceptance and education.
My🎭 🎬ultimate 🏆🫀 heartfelt movie that brought me out of a lot of self-destructive, subservient moments...🤍🤍🤍 Favorite quote is from the scene where she quotes "Utopia" to the prince❕

Melanie has not aged!!! She practically looks the same as she did in that film.
That dress. I'm a lot more on the dark and stormy side now but little me wanted to be married in that dress so freaking bad. Best version of Cinderella I will die on this hill happy.
