@@2gastranamedalje No. ID was just simply reusing the SS Nazi's sprites from Wolfenstein that lacked any side sprites. Also explains why they appear smaller than the other Doom monsters.
Wolfenstein 3D didn't have infighting mechanics (It was even accidental in Doom and ID decided to keep it) so there was no real need to have sprites of them shooting in other directions. By re-using the sprites without adjustment, ID never got around to adding the missing sprites to make it work with Doom's mechanics. A fun little bit of dev history. The stories behind Wolf3D and Doom are fascinating topics.
The first couple of seconds I thought the SS guys were going to get slaughter, thought it was flawed because some of them were going to go after the camera guy.
you should scale up these battles, like all hitscanners in the game vs all the projectile monsters in the game, or like 100 of all monsters in one big battle royale
After watching a few of these, I wonder why more of these enemies didn't get a melee attack, quite alot of them do have one like the imp, Cacodemon, baron, hell knight, and revenant all have melee and range, yet the mancubus, arachnotron, arch vile, pain elemental, cyberdemon, spider mastermind, and all the former humans are restricted only to ranged, it would make sense for the former humans to try hitting you with their weapon or something akin to a soldier melee at close range, the mancubus could strike you with his arm cannons or use a straight up flamethrower at close range, arch vile could just slash you, pain elemental could bite, arachnotron could try stomping you but his plasma is lethal at close range so just having it be more aggressive closer up would work, the cyberdemon should absolutely have a close range melee either a stomp or a slash that deals alot of damage, possibly even insta kill, same with the spider mastermind, if you are dumb enough to get close to one it should be able to impale you on its legs or something.
It's funny that the SS-guys don't have any other shoot animation than towards you..
There's a fix for that, I think it was an oversight.
And the noclip player said: Hey! Im not your target, shoot the zombies

@@ggn3 they only had one sprite for the shooting frames. They still had rotational sprites for every other frame.

Holding for the zombieman slide at 3:40. You're a stand-up guy.
Cyberdemon vs. Mechhitler ....
That would be interesting !
The possibilities are endless and even more if the enemies of different games can be mixed up
SS vs ADHD went exactly as expected.
hey! i'm ADHD ya prick xD.
The first couple of seconds I thought the SS guys were going to get slaughter, thought it was flawed because some of them were going to go after the camera guy.
SS has Higher HP, faster rate of fire, the results make sense. Zombie men also move after they shoot
Yeah the game was rigged lol

Man, the mid-20th century dudes are more powerful than the 22nd century dudes.
Seems to be on average, it takes 3 zombies to kill one SS...
3:44 what the hell was that? O_o
I thought this might be a good opportunity for a sneaky wordplay, but I'll just let it _slide _ 😏
Bodies in Doom do that at times. Dying at the right angle can make them slide along an edge. 😊
Fun fact: Wolfenstein SS Have only 1 frame when they attacking so that means they will always face on the camera when they attacking!
Why do the Germans keep shooting the poor cameraman?! LOL!
SS vs zombies. Sounds like a good movie :)
Shoestopper!
SS vs every Doom monster next, pls!
Exquisite camera work my man
What are SS guys saying when awake and die?
Wake up noise: "schutzstaffel!" (Their Nazi German paramilitary unit)
Death noise: "Mein leben!" (My life!)
@@FaceIntoKeyboard Thanks!
SS versus shotgun zombiemen next.
There’s a problem with ‘friendly fire’
The zombies are coming... Bang bang bang
Please do a Arch-Vile vs. zombiemen. I wanna see the gibs fly. :) thanks.
Please do Mancubus vs Barons of Hell :)
how about pinkies vs zombiemens and pinkies vs sergeants?
Do Wolfenstein SS vs shotgunners next
What the blue guys say when they die ? 🤔
"Mein Leben!" (German) ="My life!"
mein leben
My name is
Their "wake up"-noise is "Schutzstaffel". A part of NSDAP. Meaning "Protection Sqaudron".

Cybie does get a stomp in brutal doom and it is indeed an instakill
Enemies like the Wolfenstein SS or the Chaingunner get more powerful in Nightmare, but even they have a limit it seems.
They are using MP40s yet they shoot like they are using a semiautomatic rifle with shotgun sounds...
Could a Mastermind defeat an army of Zombiemen?
3:38
Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to have chain gunners fight against the SS?
Given how much RNG there is in Doom, I think you should have best of three rounds for each encounter.
MEIN LEBEN
That's German engineering for ya!
We already have Nazi Zombies and Plants vs Zombies - Nazis vs Zombies was a matter of time ;-))
The SS vs NKVD in 1993
Mein Leben!
Schostaffel
SS guy win
Mein Leben!
