- Since Sir Keir Starmer became Prime Minister, a record number of migrants have crossed the Channel in a single day, the Home Office revealed on Tuesday.
Home Office figures show that 427 people made the journey in seven boats on Monday, bringing this year’s provisional total to 14,759.
Over 1,000 migrants have arrived in the UK since Labour's election victory less than two weeks ago.
So far, the 2024 total is 12% higher than the 13,200 recorded by this time last year and up 1% from 2022's 14,554.
Last year saw 29,437 migrants arriving in the UK, a 36% drop from the record 45,774 in 2022.

@@nickryder9669 I’m directly quoting a letter received by me today. I gave lessons twice a week to primary school children. 55% of the money I earned from this was deducted from UC I received. It’s a direct result of Labour’s policy to charge VAT on private school fees.

@@nickryder9669 well the letter mentioned “political changes” and that some extracurricular lessons (like the chess club I taught) were being “cut back”. I didn’t charge VAT for my own services, not earning enough to register, but I can put 2 and 2 together as to the reasoning.

A white South African guy Immigrant, described (on YT) how he had to have Police Checks, Language tests, Financial investigation, Paid lots of money for Visa etc. He said One of his customers was an Iraqi who told him, "No Police checks, No Language Test, No Financial Investigation, Free Visa. He gets a FREE HOUSE, and £1,000.00 per month benefit whether he works or not".
I’m a Brit, my wife is Chinese, she had to go through the same process. Background checks, proof of our relationship, must prove you have enough money to live on, somewhere to live, visa fees, NHS fees, multiple English language tests, Life in UK test, biometric fees. We spent over £15K on my wife getting ILR. We’ve been together 20 years but it means nothing, as a Brit we have no rights in our own country !!

Then people act all confused when they've voted Tory, but more happens of what they blame lefties for. All Tories and ex Tory anti EU politicians like Nigel Farage want is to create divisions with the rest of Europe, no matter what cost to most British people, so the British economy stays closely linked with USA banks, encouraging a nation that lives in greed, debt, permanent state of war, and dumbed down by the media promoting trashy talentless celeb. Then when a Tory or ex Tory UKIP MP says something nationalist, most people are so uninterested in politics, they don't remember reality that Tories and anti EU politicians have harmed more British people than any other party, and Labour have done more for average British people; Such as the NHS, Open University and giving hope to people in the 90s in areas destroyed by Tories, by encouraging more than ever to go to university at a low cost.
There was previously only 1 Labour PM that won an election since the 70s which was Tory Blair, and when the Tory propaganda tabloids blame him for what Tories cause. Such as Blair gets blamed for the 2nd Iraq war, when more Tory MPs voted yes to it than MPs from other parties. Blair couldn't get out of the 2nd war because of all the years Tories had previously made us a USA lapdog. Such as after the USA blew up a whole tank of British soldiers in the 1st Iraq war by mistake, John Major committed Britain to staying in the region as the 2nd largest force with USA as the largest force. There was no way we could have left all the troops, equipment and contracts that Tories had already connected us with in the region before the 2nd Iraq war.
I could go on about how even Afghanistan wasn't extremist until the USA started arming and training the religious extremists there in the 80s against Russia, and then after Russia left Afghanistan, the USA didn't care what those extremists were doing all through the 90s, until 9/11. Or how when British people were shot in Libya and blown up in Manchester by extremists who trained in Libya after Gaddafi was killed, no media or Labour MPs remind people of when the secret service whistle blower David Shayler told how Tories were going along with the USA funding Al Qaeda in Libya to kill Gaddafi.

I think a lot of people regret the Brexit vote but not for the big important policies but simply for the ease of movement, travel & businesses.. People care about what actually impacts them daily.. not far away policies that are kind of in the background.. still impact you but only when it's in your face as a problem..
