I wish our subdivision was built this in Texas. I would vacation at home.
We did look into how much to purchase a home there in 2016 they were starting out at $300,000 then and had limited supply.
My family was thinking about buying and renting it out. I wish we did.
That would be awesome rental property, that is a goal of ours
This is excellent for a family trips. I love all the amenities that they provide. I love those options it is great for big families instead of doing hotels.

How do you like it? Our house will be finished by May 24th!! We close after that!! I have a teenager. I am sure he will love it!
What are schools like in vacation areas? If there are any - I guess most of the kids only stay there a week or two. Hopefully you can homeschool them.
What was explained to us is this. They have a community within a community for owners and then for the vacationers. They are in different parts of the community. Owners have access to different pools/gyms/restaurants but also access to the splash parks and vacationers pools/restaurants. There are quite a lot of full time residents in the neighborhood. The schools are right outside of the neighborhood and are actually top rated and are waitlisted. There are people from other areas trying to get their kids into CG schools. Hope that helps to explain! I will find out next week!
Oh thank you thank you so much for during the tour...so funny! So would you say that the majority of the homes are vacation rentals or permanent residence or a combo of both? I noticed that the builder is the same builder that did my home/community...thank you again for sharing 💕
they are mostly vacations rentals
They are split.There is an area for "members only" such as a private gym, restaurant , club house, gym and pools. The other side is mostly rentals. They are building another splash park this year and more owners houses not short term rentals. We also have a some separate entries and exits that do not require front gate check in. I don't know everything yet as our house is finished being built May 24th and we close right after that. We bought in long term residential .

Where the neighborhoods quiet? Just wondering if they have a time cut off for music and outdoor/backyard activities.

Most neighborhoods like these do have a cut of time around 10pm-11pm but its all depending on the noise level, if your just have a typically bbq in the backyard it shouldn't be a issue but if you r going all out with DJs and loud speakers I'm pretty sure a neighbor would have a problem
How was the weather in Feb? I am looking to rent during the Christmas time but I have never been to Florida during that time and wondered if it was too cold to enjoy the pools?
The weather is always pretty good here, even in the winter times here you can always enjoy the pool. Enjoy your stay when you visit im pretty sure it will be nice and hot for you'll 😁

Do you have a preference between there and Encore resort?
Personally I liked Encored best only because we had a better house there but they are very similar far as Luxury amenities

I read a lot of bad reviews on this location on TripAdvisor, the reviews were mainly about noisy disrespectful neighbors. Not sure if anyone actually live in the community that would give me a little bit more insight on the situation in that area. I’m planning a family vacation in January 2022 don’t want to deal with anyone’s disrespectful inconsiderate bullshit, I can deal with that here in LA, people go on vacation to get away from that bullshit. But I’m Not sure if the reviews are accurate or overexaggerate. It will be A townhouse backed up to the golf course. Not sure what they call that actual location but all it says is The retreat at champions gate luxury resort. Any information would be very helpful on making my decision on where to stay.
The site we stayed in was located in the Retreat section but it was a single family home. I think the noise may be based on what time of the year you are going. Like spring break might be noiser than a winter trip. We didn't experience any issues during our stay. Most people were very friendly that we came in contact with. Also these are vacation homes soo most people that are staying here are visiting. Hope this helps ❤
