- We spent an epic 5 days following the RAC Rally through 3 countries, and thousands of miles. The event was a huge challenge, with snow, rain, ice, and storm Arwen thrown in the mix, and after the final stages, we left completely broken! But even after all that, we cant wait for the next running in 2023!
This is the kind of rallying that made "THE RAC" famous! Thanks for the drift down memory lane ... 😁

YES! I would MUCH rather watch this than the modern cars….you cannot even tell modern cars apart without the livery…..they look the same, sound the same, are built using the identical formula. At least back in the 70’s-80’s-90’s there was some variety, and novel ways of solving the problem of going fast on a loose surface. FWD, RWD, AWD; front engine, mid-engine, rear engine; two door, four door, hatch back, wagon(!); 4cyl, 6th cyl, 8cyl….it was interesting and different, a symphony of sounds and sights. And most importantly, it took tremendous skill to drive them well. Seems like it was much more accessible back then as well, at every level.
I know, I’m toxically nostalgic and a Luddite. It doesn’t make it any less true!
