- What about you? What were you created to do? What is your specific assignment on earth? God created you and every person for a specific assignment on this earth. No person was born by mistake. Why are you on earth? You are alive on earth to carry out and accomplish the assignment (task) God created and ordained you to do. Life on earth has no meaning when you do not know why God placed you on it and you are not doing it. When you know your specific assignment on earth, you know the timings in your life and when you finish it you can proudly say like Paul, 2 Tim 4:7: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith You cannot proudly say these words when you have lived a life without knowing your specific assignment on earth and accomplishing it. God knows that it is difficult being a born-again person to live on earth but God does not take you out of this world for you to carry out your specific assignment and finish it. God creates every person for a specific assignment on earth; to good works ordained before you are created. Eph 2:10: For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. Before God formed you in your mother’s womb, He knew you and ordained you for a specific task on earth like He revealed to Jeremiah. Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations (Jer 1:5) You are not on this earth by mistake. No person is born by mistake; it is the plan of God. In the Bible, God created every person to carry out a specific assignment on earth. Let’s look at some of them.
1. Moses
God created Moses for only one assignment on earth; to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. Ex 3:10: Come now therefore, and I will send you unto Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. When Moses accomplished his assignment on earth, God gave him rest in His kingdom.
2. Joshua
God created Joshua for only one assignment on earth; to lead the children of Israel across river Jordan into the Promised Land. Joshua was the man created by God to take over after Moses. Joshua 1:1-2: Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spoke unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, ‘Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel’.
3. David
God created David to shepherd and be a warrior to the children of Israel. 2 Sam 7:8: Now therefore so shall you say unto my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel’ 1 King 2:11: And the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years: seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
4. Solomon
Solomon was created and placed on this earth to build the temple.
2 Sam 7:12-13: And when your days be fulfilled, and you sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, which shall proceed out of your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 1 King 6:14: So Solomon built the temple, and finished it.
5. Jeremiah
Jeremiah was created and placed on earth to be a prophet
Jer 1:5: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.
6. Jonah
Jonah was created to take repentance message to Nineveh. Jonah 1:1-2: Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, ‘Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me’.
Because of Jonah taking God’s message to Nineveh, Nineveh repented and God relented from the disaster that He was to bring upon Nineveh.
Jonah 3:10: And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
7. John the Baptist
John the Baptist was created for only one assignment on earth; a voice in the wilderness to prepare the way for Jesus.
Mt 3:1-2: In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, ‘Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand’.
Many years ago God revealed through His servant prophet Isaiah that he will send a voice in the wilderness to prepare the way for Jesus.
Isa 40:3: The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Mt 3:3: For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight’.
A voice crying in the wilderness was prophesied many years ago before John the Baptist was created. From his creation by God even before his birth, John was ordained to be the voice.
You were created, born and ordained for a specific assignment on earth.
8. Paul
Paul was created to take the gospel to gentiles
Acts 9:15: But the Lord said unto him, ‘Go your way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel’
Acts 13:46-47: Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, ‘It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing you put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you to be a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation unto the ends of the earth’. All these people in the Bible accomplished their assignments on earth and God gave them rest in His kingdom. Jesus prayed and asked God not to take His disciples out of the world but keep them from the evil (Satan) for them to accomplish their assignment.
John 17:15: I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil.
When you start living for what God created you for, your inheritance in heaven starts increasing and crowns starts being prepared for you. Heaven starts rejoicing and celebrating and all heaven and earthly resources are mobilized to you to accomplish your assignment on earth.
Why are you alive in this earth even when you have not realized you assignment on earth?
Because God is waiting for you to realize what you were created to do and start doing it. Do not wait until it is late.
How to know what God created you to do; your specific assignment on earth
When you delight in the LORD, He gives you heart desires.
Psalms 37:4: Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
Listen to the desire in your heart. It is God who placed it in your heart for you to do and accomplish it.
Psalms 21:2: You have given him his heart’s desire
And it is the LORD to fulfill the desires in you, not you.
Psalms 145:19: He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Proverb 10:24: … the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
If you are not born again, do not listen to the desire of your heart because they are of the devil not from God.
If you are truly a bride of Jesus Christ, there is one desire in your heart which overpowers (powerful than) all other heart desires. That is what God created you to do.
The desire in you is from God if;
1. It is about serving God through humanity not yourself
God creates people to serve Him through humanity (Mt 25) not serve themselves, their families or children.
If the desire in your heart is about serving yourself, children and family, buying big cars, houses, etc for yourself and your family that is not from God.
For you to carry out what God created you to do on earth, for you to serve humanity. yourself must dies.
When you realize what you were created to do on earth and you start doing it, God grace and resources are sufficient for you to only focus on accomplishing your assignment on earth.
When you focus on your specific assignment on earth, God takes care of the rest. He will take care of you, your family and everything else.

What does it mean when there is a quickening of the spirit?
The word “quicken” (or quickening) means to give life and to preserve life and to be made alive. In the way that used it probably means bringing alive kind like a rhema word (something the Holy Spirit brings attention to for you) over a logos (a written) word. I hope that helps.
