16:20 Hey that's Gale from Breaking Bad
Rewatching X Play makes me realize just how much I missed this show.
This era, especially.
12:48 Holy shit! SCOTT MCNEIL!!! IT'S SCOTT MCNEIL!!!!
Adam has excellent eye discipline
Wow @9:07 get a load of THAT commercial. That’s before they even came up with a catchy song!
Damn and Alienware at @15:15 too I remember that ad
Such a different time..
i used to play Frogger in San Andreas: jumping across the street trying not to get hit by traffic. or trying to land on it.
Enjoy that Unicron Sessler its awesome *note you can actually see said Unicron on the desk in the background in the Batman segment
18:58
21:52
So that's where the bottle smashing clips come from
Bloody roar had blood in the first 2 games. Bloody roar 1 had vomit.
That Mushroom bit doing the Mario RPG game review tho 😂😂
One of my favorite classic segments from the show.
Reminds me of Balloon Shop
I'd love to see what a new Bloody Roar would look like with modern graphics.
Bloody Roar, haven't thought about that series in a LONG time... Wow.
Probably because this was the last Bloody Roar game they released.
Chris Leary hosted "Fresh Gear" and "TechLive" during their final months. These days, he works for Spectrum News here in Los Angeles. I actually asked him on UA-cam if he remembers what was the final episode of "Fresh Gear" taped in San Francisco, and he said he didn't remember. "Fresh Gear" was considered to move to Los Angeles to be part of G4, but ultimately, it didn't.
Love Adam's Abbey Road shirt. I'm assuming he's a Beatles fan. If he is, so am I.
29:48 Could you put in your own custom tracks in Dead or Alive 3?! I know DOAX of course but I don't remember that being a feature in DOA3.
This was my favorite era of X-Play. The random, goofy skits, honest reviews and cynical, dark yet silly humor. When they moved to Las Angeles it was also cool for a while. But then after that when they switched to the format with the news ("the Feed") on their show, I no longer liked it.
And that was the final Bloody Roar title. Guess they didn't want to evolve that much since...yeah, this clealry looks recycled from the previous BR game at times.
Coming up tomorrow: Reviews of Airforce Delta Strike, NHL Rivals 2004 & Karaoke Revolution. Plus, a preview of SpellForce & 'X-Play' invites the director of the 'Counter-Strike' documentary to the set for a chat.
Mario and Luigi: super star saga for the game boy advance is a brilliant Mario game. 😀👍🎮
Lol Morgan hadn’t seen the combos I’ve seen in bloody roar 4. The combos are actually pretty broken but not a button masher.
Love spooie
You're the best.Thank you.
Batman: rise of sin tzu for the ps2 is a excellent batman game. 😀👍🎮
I still like the bloody roar games.😀👍🎮
Boy how superhero games came. People jump to play things like Spider-Man and Batman now lol
Ryan Vance, Leticia Caparaz, Matt Keil, and Kerry Kemp in the Batman review. I think I also see Jason Frankovitz (the Disembodied Voice) in the Superstar Saga review.
I just played through Bloody Roar 4 yesterday. It's almost as good as 2 I guess.
Who wudda thought that about 8 or 9 years later one of the best super hero game wud come out in Batman Arkham asylum and 2 more of the greatest super hero games
Damn this one is so old it’s before the merger. Weird not seeing a G4 logo in the corner. But anyways thanks for the upload!
Also where’s the voiceover guy now lol
She looks so young and beautiful.
Even now, at 42, she hardly looks a day older.
Flash forward 20 years later, pretending to be a 'nerd' or a 'dork' is now a fad. But REAL nerds and dorks are still the outcasts 😶
