This movie is horrifying on so many levels😮 awesome cinematography with limited lights, soundplay, no stupid jumpscares.
Claustrophobic scenes (fear of confined spaces)
Automatonaphobia -mannequin scenes, fear of darkness, isolophobia.
Plot and storyline is amazing, in the end it makes sense as well.

I agree . I think what makes this movie different than the trash we see today is that the visuals were frightening and more intense and so is the eerie environment of this film. What most horror movies lack today is that they fail to deliver the real horror to the audience . Most of them seem to take a comedic turn at one point and the whole movie just becomes a joke. Bollywood never fails to exploit the horror genre by just overusing the same ideas , same concept and a kind of phobia of not experimenting newer genres like Slashers or Psychological Horrors or smthing. I mean just compare movies like stree and bhool bhulaiya 2 with Tumbaad and the very recent Bramayugam and you'll already know the difference. I mean cmon at one hand you can watch movies like Winnie The Pooh - Blood And Honey and Final Destination Series and at the other hand you have movies like Bhool Bhulaiya and Kakuka. But let's see , I think with Shaitaan they're finally going refine the upcoming movies in this genre as well as make better films in the future...
Im telugu girl but mostly i like hindhi movies.and serials too. Movie is gd and nice. Scary too. Emotional at last.

Because ye movie flop ho gyi thi Kyuki hum as an audience achi movies ko support nhi karte aur baad mein kehte hai ki bahut underrated hai eg. - Tumbbad uske collection dekhlo bahut kam hai. Toh producers fir dobara daring lete hee nhi naye naye topics ke saath horror genre mein. They rather go for mass masala action movies larger than life cinema

9-10 years ago I watched a two episode Adaalat show on Sony tv which name was darr @ the Mall, then I didn't know who Jimmy shergil is, I only knew Ronit Roy. Now I know shergil, I forgot the aadalat episodes. But suddenly I noticed that episode and Jimmy shergil as well. So I searched for why Jimmy shergil is in Adaalat? Then I found that he did an appearance for his movie darr @ the mall as his film name.
