- Bhoot is about a married couple Vishal and Swati who rent an aprtment in a high rise building. Vishal comes to know that a lady named Manjeet had commited suicide from the same flat. Swati is unaware about this. Swati experiences some weird instances. Vishal is worried about Swati's behaviour. Meanwhile the watchman of the building is murdered. Is the flat really haunted or is Swati mentally ill?

This is exactly how a horror movie should be made. A slow and quiet start, not too much drama, no sudden moments all the time. Very Japanese style. Absolute classic by Ram Gopal. It's near impossible to get movies like this nowadays.

I had watched this movie when I was 12 for the first time. I remember I was thinking that the maid or rekha has some part in this..that they're in negative role 😅
And the last scene where Tanuja showed the helplessness and pain of a mother for a daughter and Urmila showed the desperation to feel the warmth and touch of a mother for the last time before she goes, breaks my heart to this day!

I saw this movie for the first time when I was 8 years old, and it has been the SCARIEST film I ever have seen even till today after 15 more years. Even the underground horror did not shake me the way this one did, 5 stars. This is the first time I watched it since being 8.
