@@spiderbuzz1404 yeah I guess our interest depends on what we're feeling at the time, the sense of urgency we have in us related to whats spoken about. When my feelings were more raw, I was easily interested or captivated if that's more apt. The raw feeling you have when you're feeling the pain related to what other animals go through, or to us from having to coexist everyday with others who force on them what we want to be stopped. We need a feeling of connection, something consoling like you get from a hug. The mental version of a hug and this is what I got from this talk. Although as it was a short session it was more of a short hug, as the pace for those moments did move along fast, in order to cover all of the overview topics he touched on. A longer session would allow for what I'm taking about to be felt more easily.

Maybe as discussion goes on, those other things come up anyway to muddy the wares again, but the fact that you clearly and firmly hit the nail on the head right at the get go with your 4 questions, is what (to me) makes your outreach activism so powerful and effective. Not directly related to this, but Cliff I went to Barby Keel animal sanctuary open day today and they had cow’s breast milk at one of the stalls. I had words with staff and won’t be returning. It turns out the owner isn’t vegan herself! But they present themselves as a vegan sanctuary. Not sure what I’m looking for with this, but just feeling emotional and sad.

Vegans don’t really hate meat eaters. Most of us have friends and family that eat meat and we also used to eat meat. What we hate is what it means to eat meat i.e. that an animal has to die when it is completely unnecessary. We hate that others can’t see this. We hate (in some cases) that it took so long to see it for ourselves.
