this place has a special place in my heart, believe it or not. I visited this place 10 years ago, it was summer and I was waiting to received news to if I had got in to University. We were staying at the hotel across the road and as this was a time before wifi. Bedrock was the only place with a PC and internet access in the whole "town". So in the little Bedrock shop/cafe I got to use the internet for 3 min (for 2 dollars!) and received the news that I had got in to Uni. My mom and aunt proceed with a happy crying session first in the little shop, then on the little tram ride. Rest of the trip was pure bliss and I loved this place! Such a cool place, a real step back in time :D

Their monthly electric bill, from the few lights and projectors, must be MORE than the monthly income they make from visitors.

PinkSquidInk Yeah, he rolled, he didn't hit hard either! Dan, as soon as you started laughing I joined right in...only because Will hit the ground in a pretty controlled role!😂 youz guyz! Keep up the great work!👍

definitely a much simpler time back then. Now kids need to be stimulated by realistic images to be entertained.

I was there in 1973 on a road trip vacation to the Grand Canyon. I loved the Flinstones when I was a kid. The place looks filthy now, and could use a good power washing.

Until now, I only knew of the Bedrock City in South Dakota. If memory serves (I was about 3 or 4 when I visited so around 1989 or 1990), it looked mostly the same as the location here in the video. One thing is for sure the same: _that fucking snake_!! Holy shitbiscuits, that thing absolutely terrified me as a kid! XD

Wow.... they've actually fixed up some of Bedrock city!! It used to be in shambles... all the statues broken, just everything falling apart. Every time I'm on my Route 66 excursion (twice a year) I always go by there and support them. Always like to support local businesses. Great video as usual.

This is SO awful, fascinating and depressing/sad all at the same time! Remains of a bygone more simple era when you could be impressed by such a simple effort! It was certainly a labor of love for someone to create this 'tribute'. How much did you pay to visit this 'theme park' and how did this get past Hanna Barbera copyright issues???

It's so weird seeing you guys at a location that I've been to. I think I've been there twice, but when I was like 5 and younger so I don't remember the first time at all. Luckily I actually knew the Flinestones and thought the place was really cool, but it was during the winter which was freezing, so I never got a chance to totally explore it. Even back then though, I thought the whole place was a little odd as a kid.
Thanks for posting a video with you looking into the whole place, since I never got a chance to see it all when I was younger! Will even got to go down the slide I wanted to ride when I was five, the lucky guy, lol.

The Flintstones was already in reruns when I was a kid in the late 1960s. Those building look kind of empty. I would guess there was a lot more stuff there when it was new. Most of it probably vandalized, or stolen, and not replaced.

Other than their live action movies in the 90's, the last filmed cartoon was a crossover called "The Flintstones meet The Jetsons", both created by Hanna Barbara sometime in the 80's.|||A lot of children who see these old cartoons actually like then

I remember camping across the street from this place when I was a kid, and I'm 66-1/2 years old!! We kids were upset about not staying here, but it was too expensive. That's probably what happened to it, priced it right out of the market, or people weren't happy about how kitschy it was for the price. Anyway, fun to finally see what it was like inside.
Can you imagine the entire Route 66 had all sorts of stuff like this along the way? I miss that kind of vacation.
Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting!!

Anyways, what about nickolodean?, or orlando florida mgm studio ffs, and disney word they have harry potter theme park, the fsct peolple dind it weird is weird to me..lol, WHY exactlly is it weird, should be at a park with all the other hanna barbarra animations tho, think they have one somewhere...

This film was one of my favorites. This place is so depressing, creepy, yet creative. Somebody went to so much work, for so little return. That theater was depressing as hell. The stage area was so depressing it was cool, I loved your laughing! That snake thing i.e., scared the crap out of me, I think I became clostrophobic at that moment! It reminds me of the abandoned Land of Oz theme park in Beech Mt, NC.

There is a Flintstones inspired house in Hillsborough CA. It's on the market for 3 million.

Oh, they were still making Flintstones into the Late 80s. Anyone remember the Bedrock Flintstone Kids?
I love how derpy the statues are.

What, no bowling alley? Cool looking place to stop and stretch your legs. Thanks for sharing!

This reminds me of my childhood! I lived in British Columbia in the late 70s when I was about 7-8 and we went to the Bedrock City that was in Kelowna, BC at least twice. I remember it being better than this, but I was only a child of course. It's LOONNNG gone now, I think it closed down in the 80s or something. There used to be something like 3 or 4 Bedrock City parks, I'm sure there was at least one more in Canada and another one in the US besides this one.
