90s shows were so pure. Now we have school shootings rainbow fentanyl crazy identity crises etc etc. I feel sad for my kids to have missed this kind of purity. And it wasn't just for show. You could really live a fun happy life back then

I loved the original cast of california dreams. Brent Gore(Matt) was good looking, Michael Cade(Sly) was full of energy, William James Jones(Tony) was smooth and knew how to talk to the ladies, Heidi Lenhart(Jenny) was very sophisticated, and Kelly packard(tiffany) was bubbly, cheerful, smiley, and wise in her own way and maybe sometimes simple and childlike. These five characters definitely had a lot of chemistry with each other. And I bet that they are life time friends in real life as well.
Just look at the expression sly gives when tiffany, tony, or jenny mention to sly that school starts on monday. He he. He isn't happy at all that summer vacation has ended. he he.
Being an Asian teenager I didn’t do many of the things like a typical American teenager did so watching these kinds of shows was my thing in those days
Even though I like the last 3 seasons with Tiffany, Tony, Sam, Jake, Mark, Lorena and Sly were THE Best, IMO Season 1 had some great moments and the part where Tiff & Jenny teasing Tony about being scared for being his ears pierced was SO hilarious and I also enjoyed the Tony Wicks Pyramid of Feelings Him on the top, Denzel Washington and Michael Jordan in the 2nd column, Arnold & Stallone in the middle, Chicken Little & Urkel in the 4th column and Tiff & Jenny being Fradiy Cats was SO funny
It's sad that other shows t NBC was overshadowed by king saved by the Bell cuz California dreams one world hang time city guys they. Are great shows . Saturday morning was great

The original characters of california dreams, of the band, matt, jenny, tony, tiffany, and sly were great because all of them except sly really sang. As the seasons moved on, matt, tiffany, sam, jake, tony and sly were great characters because again all of the characters except sly really sang. After matt left in I think season three, they replaced him with the character of mark winkle, sly's cousin played by aaron jackson. This character did not sing at all . And also, in season three, lorena,( diana uribe) a new female character was introduced after the garrisons moved away because the band needed a place to practice and sam needed a place to stay. They should have kept matt and jenny or at least brought them back for the final episode of california dreams
Angela sorta reminds me of Drew Barrymore. So many shows slap a pair of glasses on attractive people to make the audience think they are nerdy and/or ugly. So not true.
i like how jenny teases matt about how angela has a crush on him. I like how she goes "oooh crush crush crush" and Matt responds "come on I 'm a rocker, she's president of the classical music society. We have nothing in common. Besides, she's not very graceful (lol)
osamabad was kelly told to loose weight? You know by the director or producer of the show. Maybe she was told that if you don't loose a certain amount of weight by a certain amount of time, then you can't be on the show. May be that was the pressure. And as a result, she could have turned into an anorexic or bulimic without even knowing it.
So she probably ate less and exercised more. Or ate less calorie foods like lots of salads, and fruits, and oatmeal. Things that didn't have too much calories so that she wouldn't gain alot of weight.
I was a teenager when this show was on. This and saved by the bell. Now I am in my forties and still love it.
