Thanks heaps for this guide - used it tonight to fit an R-Line bumper onto my standard TSI! Are you going to add side steps to yours as well to continue from the sides of the TCR diffuser?
My pleasure! I also struggled to also find a video that really explained it properly thus the video. I was also originally thinking of doing an R-Line Diffuser install but thought I’d get the boy-racer out of me. I don’t plan on adding any further side splitters onto this diffuser as the current side splitters are plenty aggressive for me.
The slight fitment on bumper is due to not fitting side panels which fits in the gaps on each-- side 2 x TCR Rear Diffuser Trim ... iam still looking for the side trims as I have gti 2019 and fitted the tcr diffuser myself . Any one know where to find the trim pieces?
I know, the only reason I haven’t got them is due to them have 3-tabs, therefore, requiring that you either drill the bumper or cut them off. Best place to purchase them will likely be via your local VW Dealership. PN: 5G6-807-603-041 (Left) & 5G6-807-604-041 (Right).
I do not as this OEM GTI TCR diffuser comes with side spats and integrated valence. My likeliest upgrade will be GTI Parker wheels and upgraded brakes using the non-PP (Performance Pack) GTI brakes (312mm diameter disks) by upgrading the calliper carriers.
I can confirm it 100% will fit as long as you fit a MK7 R/GTI diffuser to a MK7 bumper and/or a MK7.5 R/GTI diffuser to a MK7.5 bumper - you can’t cross between the generations as the bumper is different. Note it’s easier to do the GTI setup as the rear muffler from the Golf R is said to be larger and therefore doesn’t fit within the heat shield - so I’ve been told.
I believe the part number is somewhere within the comments however this is what you’ll need, 5G6807568AG041 (Rear Valence) and not to forget these two 5G6807509D & 5G6807510D which are the Fittings for the Left & Right side.
I can confirm that they both do as long as you stick to your model year i.e. MK7 with MK7 and MK7.5 with MK7.5. Note this is the GTI (TCR Edition) diffuser.
Are you talking about the screws etc. or the piece that slots into the edges holding the diffuser to the car? Note the screws I bought weren’t used as reused all those already on the old fake exhaust/diffuser.
Assuming you mean the part that holds the diffuser to the rest of the bumper you’ll need the following. PN: 5G6807509D (Left) and 5G6807510D (Right). Note that these only fit the GTI TCR diffuser, if you need the GTI ones, those are different.
I have no idea as those weren’t the ones needed… I reused the ones on the original diffuser. I assume you’ve broken yours and need new ones, sorry I can’t help you further.

Unfortunately not. You’ll have to look at maybe the GTI Clubsport MK7 Rear Valence. The rule of thumb for Golf Body Panels/Bumpers/Valence is MK7 will only fit MK7 and MK7.5 will only fit MK7.5.
Bumper or Rear Diffuser? Unfortunately not if the Rear Diffuser where ou will need to use a MK7 diffuser on a MK7 Golf & MK7.5 diffuser on a MK7.5 Golf. If you swap the whole bumper this may be possibly given it’s on the MQB platform but it’ll be more difficult and fitment may not be perfect.
@@alexandermax13 the garage that will do fit for me got a gti exhaust but he said I need to get a rear diffuser that is gti style but for mk7 tsi and I can’t find anything
Do you want the GTI style rear end or are you after a more aggressive look? If GTI then this is the Rear Diffuser you will need. Part Number: 5G6807568F9B9 If you’re after the GTI Clubsport look then I recommend you watch ShopDap’s video on how to install a Rear Diffuser & Exhaust onto a MK7 Golf. Note that the Rear Diffuser are different due to the size of the tips.
Thnx for making video there no more videos like this this bumper upgrade brilliant 🤩
There are hopefully more to come!
Looks great! Cant wait to see a nice exahust on it too!
Thanks! I’m hoping to do it shortly.
I love your content keep it up
Thanks for the feedback! I love doing little bits here and there when I have the cash for it.

Are you planning to put Maxton Desing diffuser extension to it? If so, record please.

Will a mk7.5 facelift (2017-2020) golf r/GTI rear diffuser fit on a mk7.5 facelift (2017-2020) golf TSI 1.5. (But it’s not GTI/R) ??
As long as the Rear Diffuser you buy, be it GTI/R, is a MK7.5 and fitted to a MK7.5 Bumper.
Did you use any of the screws fromt the package that it came with?
I did not. Additionally, the VW Dealership had no idea of what screws to use thus sold me miscellaneous fittings, none of which I’ve used to date.
Hi mate, do u think a oem golf r or gti diffuser would fit a 1.4? Cheers
I can confirm it 100% will fit as long as you fit a MK7 R/GTI diffuser to a MK7 bumper and/or a MK7.5 R/GTI diffuser to a MK7.5 bumper - you can’t cross between the generations as the bumper is different.

Since yours is a 2017 I have a 2021 would it fit on there
If you have a MK7.5 then YES, it will fit!
what catback exhaust do you plan on getting?
I’ll be installing the OEM GTI TCR exhaust to complete the look of the rear end.
where to get this diffuser from, i would like to get one same as this. May i get the product number or link from where to order it . thanks mate

Can you send me a link where you bought it from? Plis
I bought it from a VW Dealership due to it being an OEM part. You’ll find the part numbers in the description.
Where did you buy the diffuser and exhaust ?
From a main VW Dealership here in the UK.
Does the gti or R diffuser fit on a tsi?
I can confirm that they both do as long as you stick to your model year i.e. MK7 with MK7 and MK7.5 with MK7.5.
Note this is the GTI (TCR Edition) diffuser.
Hey mate, can you provide the part numbers for the hardware on the top right corner of the video before the install?
Are you talking about the screws etc. or the piece that slots into the edges holding the diffuser to the car?

Hi new subscriber here..please do a video for the exhaust installation too! Cheers mate
Thanks! I definitely will though next month is busy and the GTI TCR Exhaust is expensive. 🥴
@@alexandermax13 what makes you go for tcr than r diffuser style ? Lookwise ?
I’ve heard the R Exhaust can be tricky to install due to underbody space vs. GTI Exhaust. I also prefer the larger twin over the quad setup.
@@alexandermax13 for the 7.5 model? Bcs i have the same car like u. Thank you for the info mate
Yes. The R Muffler/Exhaust is split into 2x Mufflers which don’t fit as well as the GTI single Muffler with split exit Exhaust tips.
What year is ur golf
It’s a 2017 MK7.5 Golf in the 1.4L TSI configuration.
If it’s a 7.5 why’s the part a mk7 I got the same car but confused on what diffuser to buy

No! You’ll need to get a MK7 Clubsport S Rear Diffuser & Exhaust.
