I have a 2003 and a 2004 Intruder Volusia VL800s. My Step Dad had one in Florida and one up in Michigan when he passed and he left them to me. Exact same motor except for being carbureted instead of fuel injection. I love these bikes. Had no idea these 800s would do that kind of Top Speed. I rode Race Bikes all through my 20s and 30s. My personal all time fastest speed record was 172mph on a friends Busa. It still had some throttle left but that was all the balls I had. I think you in this video doing 110 mph on a bike not designed for beating land speed records was way ballsier than anything I've ever done. Much respect. Love the video. F*** the naggy haters.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it😁
I was doing 180 on a ninja 9 and got passed by my buddy on a Busa doing 195 lololRisky also doing it on this little back road with all those driveways lol.
don't underestimate these little 800s. i have a Marauder. i tweaked final drive ratio and built a belt drive for it. what a little monster now......i eat Dynas for breakfast.it has stock engine but jets and exhaust. basicaly an 800 intruder engine with slight cosmetic differences and a chain final drive. i hated the chain since i bought it new in97. just converted to belt in 2015.
I’ve gotten mine up to 111mph on the freeway. Not something I would do again but at 85-90 it rides smoothly.
It's been an awesome bike so far. Have had so much fun building it from the ground up.
.... On a residential street
On a back road. Very few houses out there and no one was outside. We had just road thru there but some people will complain no matter what
Is this bike powerful enough to get a little sideways at low speed? haha
You could definitely get sideways in low speeds. Even under 20mph. It's got enough power to sling you off if you're not careful
@@psychouki perfect thank you. 😂 I'm considering buying one. Haha
@@Agustin-jo8mv they are fun bikes. A little pain to work on but every bike has its flaws
@@psychouki haha. Got ya. I'm thinking about buying a 2006, and it needs carb maintenance. The only part I haven't done is the carb sync, but I'm pretty good with mechanical stuff so I think I should be good. I have most necessary tools. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. Haha
You could drift it but you gotta be good.
hi whats the name of those bars?
They are stock bars for the 2006 boulevard s50
Looks like the same factory bars as my s83 also
putting a cart away wont make up for you going 110 hitting a minivan and killing all the occupants
The cart was to make sure it didn't roll into somebodies car buddy. I'm not worried about your views on my riding. I'm not here to argue with people that have nothing better to do than complain about how other people live their lives. Am I hurting you?? I didnt think so. Have a nice day though
@@psychouki right .i saw nothing in your video that indicated you were not in control and it was a straight road.
@@KevinFreist appreciate the second perspective of the situation. I know these back roads like the back of my hand and there were no cars and no kids outside when we were riding thru there. The camera makes it so weird of an angle to see further out than where my eyes are that sit about 4 inches higher than the camera lens does. People won't ever get it. They just like to complain. I know where I live not them but that's all good. Haters gonna hate🤣🇺🇸🤙
