there's something magical about Abigail. her moves, her voice, her outfit, the whole stage presence. i'm fully enjoing this!
No matter the amount of times I see this song performed live, it never fails that goosebumps ride my arms like a wave when I hear the words "I dig my fingers in expecting more than just the skin," depart from Abigails mouth. The Last Dinner Party are an absolute dream and they are killing it!
The songcraft is def there. It feels like a punk inspired version of Tori with a traditional aesthetic similar to what Halsey did. TLDP will likely have a similar trajectory. Whatever the case, some of the songs are very catchy.
Makes me think Delia Smith preparing a pork casserole.

Actual musicians playing actual instruments. How refreshing. With the harmonies and wardrobe choices, it’s like The Bangles and Blackmore’s Night meets Gen Z. I sincerely hope they have a successful experience.

Surprised they had to do the "have" version on Graham Norton when it's on telly about the same time as Jools Holland. The BBC1 audience must be a bit more delicate I suppose.
If they sing the f version it won’t get see as much… sounded awful anyway… killed the hype for me

I found it silly too. If it was imposed, I think better ways of conveying the fucking could’ve been done too
TLDP have the songs, the vision and the talent to be as big as any of the artists they are compared to. But if they alienate the mass market, they risk being confined to a historical footnote. No-one’s pretending the ‘clean’ version sounds right, but the opportunity for their music (and that of Picture Parlour, etc.) to reach a far wider audience and inspire the next generation of artists is a price I’m willing to pay.

I understand why they had to replace "I will F you" with "I will have you" and yes, it's a great song, and a great performance. But honestly it changes the song so dramatically, it isn't even the same song anymore. I wish we weren't so afraid of words.

@@Anglo_BrowzaI thought the same when I’ve heard them use “have” on other performances but I saw an interview where Abigail said she wrote the song based on the excitement of a new relationship. I would think that’s before love but in the lust phase. Just my opinion why they use have.
