Making 5 HUGE Boxwood Hedges
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 вер 2017
- In this project I build 5 artificial boxwood hedges for a party rental company.
These are constructed with 1/2 OSB plywood and pine 1x3s. They are meant to be mobile and configurable to act as a barrier or backdrop.
I show a few little tricks that help accomplish a repetitive project like this one, check it out!
Here is a link to the boxwood I use on these:

Nice man! These are awesome. Consider Luan instead of OSB it would make them much lighter up top! Also a hair dryer or heat gun will relax the greenery and let you stretch it and fill the gaps as well as staggering the panels will help hide the seams. Ive made a lot of theatre scenery like these. Great job they are beautiful..
Wow very very nice work. Im an retired wedding/party floral designer. Shrub boxes...awesome idea. I admire a person that can think thru the details measurements etc of a design like this and make it happen. Very nice. Im impressed. Great job.

Great work Chris these are awesome!! I want to make similar boxes for live hedges we are saving do you have any suggestions for the build?
Omg! Those are Great! We are looking for something like that for our small stall at our local market! I wish you were near us! Lol!
sick bro wanted to make some for my balcony
How much did these end up weighing? They look amazing, I am just concerned about storage and transport.
Wow❤
Very nice bro bro
Great video! I wanted to get your opinion because on other methods of applying the greenery. I intend to install mine on dry wall, would you still recommend still using a staple gun, or glue, etc? Thanks in advance!
What’s the price for one? I would really like a few for my backyard
u should try the kreg accu cut. awesome jig
I think you can get larger panels of greenery... It would be nice to have some hooks in several locations, especially along the top for attaching other types of greenery florals drapery lights framed art etc... but it looks like that can be done later on an as needed basis... very cool as is thogh
I feel you buddy I though coupls hours I will be done but it wil takel days
If you start stapling grass in the corners and then to the sides you dont have a filling issue.....nice proyect!
Faux boxwood source please. Nice video. They look fabulous! I'm sure if you approached sidewalk cafes to sell them they would be interested. You'd probably get many orders
Looks good. Just always make sure to stagger repetitive designs to hide the lines better. But great job.
I have a feeling staggering was not done to keep cost down.
10:42 - What was your final Height? I am having the same issue regarding transportation... I figured the best thing to do is add wheels to side and make it roll horizontally vs virtually. Horizontal wheels would mean we need to make holes on each side to hide the wheels when standing it next to one another... but that will help to ensure a minor locking.
This is exactly what I need. Can you build this for me? I need an exactly like this to hide a pool and Pergola that my HOA is mandating.
Please come to Australia and make them for me, there beautiful and they look real
Where did you order your casters? please & thank you
What was the height of the Boxwood Hedges? Thanks and great video.
What was your source for the boxwood hedges?
Turned out so good! I know this an old video but I'm only coming across this now. What was the best way to transport this? Did you lay them down in a van? Or have them standing up in a trailer?
These were moved standing up in a box truck but they can be moved laying down as long as they are stacked staggered so the "planter" is on opposing sides as the units get stacked up.
Make Everything thanks for your quick reply!!! Enjoying your videos too
