The LT5 should make a comeback as a 427ci 7.0L version as the LT7 for the all new C8 ZR1. We can all dream can't we?

I took the plant tour at the end of January and the tour guide at the back of our group said he heard it was going to be twin turbo. With the size of the engine compartment, they can probably put whatever size turbo they want.
I picked my C8 up at NCM and got one of the last factory tours middle of January!
The guide discussed the variants and that the factory is closing for additional production advancements for the ZR1, Zora, and c9!
If you all EVER get the chance to do so, get the R8C delivery and factory tour. It was amazing

Hello young man just got a call from my MSRP only dealership and being near the top of the list for a different allocation they asked me if I would be interested in to transfer in same waiting order to the ZR1 list OMG! Never even gave it a thought can you imagine! Probably between $145k-155 k for a base model. No problem! I also hear from highly reliable sources that the ZR1 will be presented at the 30th Anniversary NCM Bash end of Summer Thursday August 29 th ! Will be there hope you will too VIP parking

I just got my Z06 so not sure about deposits on future models. But a 4WD hybrid version would be something to experience!!

Thanks for the update. I have a '21 C8 and would have liked to get on the Z06 list but things didn't work out. E-Ray didn't interest me because it was a crossplane crank motor so put a deposit on a ZR1 list. Not holding my breath on that either as there's nothing conclusive the ZR1 will have a flatplane.
Speed Phenom Great Video I think it would be awesome to hear about the upcoming C8 ZR1 and I definitely agree that it should have Extra HP and Down force to better up with the Competition

I can’t wait for the zr1 based on speculation I think it’ll be 5.5 litre with twin turbos or they add the hybrid system to it. Whatever it maybe it’s going to quick. For the price who knows with dealer mark ups the zr1 could be pushing 250 or maybe 300k starting at maybe 160-180 range

Dumb Chevrolet management missed a golden opportunity to introduce the C8 ZR1 during the Super Bowl broadcast. More people will be watching that broadcast than they will be able to get with just a stand alone reveal. Even though the SB ads are expensive their cost would have been a lot less than a stand alone reveal with a lot more worldwide exposure to boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chevy has just gone "BRAIN DEAD"!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Corvette is committed to ending tts petro era with a serious bang. They'll want to certainly surpass anything that Ford has ever put out. Regardless of what Corvette put into the ZR1, it will not surpass the GTD's and the GT IV&s. Corvette probably be throwing absolutely everything possible to push the performance of the Zora.. I a man of Zora's genius was designing the ultimate performance car today, he would utilize the benefits of carbon fiber.
GM is making handmade Cadillac'.
I suspect they there will end up being a handmade version of the Zora with as much weight reduction as possible. Corvette aiming to a lake as many of the super and hyper cars as possible... certainly Ford.
I think that the ZR1 will almost certainly be faster than the GTD. The GTD isn't going to be super lightweight, although it does use some carbon pieces, it is far from a carbon tub you'd find in a racecar, mclaren, or ford GT, so I'm guessing the weight will be somewhere between the base C7 and C7 ZR1. Due to being front engine, it will almost certainly still suffer from the same issues that the ZR1 suffered with putting down the power. Honestly, looking at the specs, between the transaxle, supercharged V8, aero, and whatnot, I'm predicting it's going to more or less be a buffed-up C7 ZR1, with a little more power, less weight, and more aero. The C8 ZR1 is likely going to make a fair bit more power, and with weight over the rears, it will be able to put it down much better, which is why the switch to mid engine was made in the first place.
