What’s insane to me is that this is pre-uptown funk, 24k magic, and silksonic. He could do another halftime show with just the hits since his last one. What a star.
He's always been amazing artist and performer. I'm honestly shocked that it took so many bangers for people to finally take notice

And he‘s probably the best live singer of the last years! Don‘t get me wrong the others are great aswell but his voice just hits every note and sounds so powerful live!
What makes his and Prince’s HT shows a couple of the best ever is that they both were so loose and in charge. You never got the sense that they were over rehearsed, and felt like anything could happen. Without knowing that the Chili peppers would be there, you could imagine him just singing “give it away now” as a total improv because he was soooo relaxed and charismatic and confident as hell.

This is a damn near perfect halftime show. The song choice, the spectacle, the transitions, the intro, and the balls Bruno had to start his appearance on drums and end with a ballad....all of this is cold-blooded badassery

@LeVaughn Scott It is if one has been literally jumping up and down with the RHCP for 5 minutes, then walking back to a platform and singing solo through a live mic (not lip-synched or with a backing voice-over) and still having such feeling, breath control and tone. That is unusual...and, as Bradley said, cold-blooded badassery.

One wonders, is this the best halftime show ever? Or was it Prince in the downpour? (And some say Michael Jackson.) It's really a tough call between the three? I'm tempted just by an edge margin to go with Prince (RIP) in the downpour, but this performance by Bruno Mars is just as sensational these many years later. Raw and exceptional talent.
It's a crime against humanity that the NFL doesn't have this in original quality on their channel. This is one for the ages.

It was harsh. Bruno coming out doing an amazing drumming solo. Perfection. This had pure stadium energy. Metlife is huge. The crowd went bananas there.

Just saw Rhianna’s half times show. Let’s just say I love when performers focus on their music over dance routines. Bruno really put his voice front and center and that’s why this is STILL my favorite halftime show. Benzo knows!

It’s the biggest sporting event but the sporting event isn’t eclipsed by half-time entertainment. You could put Adele on at halftime, it will be an afterthought.
You know why I think this halftime show was so enjoyable? Obviously Bruno is full of pure talent and a natural entertainer, BUT! The choice to have a smaller stage setup with audience participation up close made it feel like I was at the show even though I was in my living room. Added so much energy instead of trying to fill up this giant stadium with dancers and a crazy stage setup.
Bruno didn’t need a spectacle, he and his band WERE the spectacle. Every choice he made worked so well. 10/10.

I remember watching this performance with my Dad, who was 80 years old at the time. After it was over, he was just smiling, and said in his quiet way, "The young man knows how to put on an enjoyable show, doesn't he?" :D

Not for me, I mean I love Bruno Mars but he's way better than this, I was expecting something like Timberlake halftime with Bruno dancing all over de stadium with nice choreographys and all that stuff, what he did is an incredible concert but a "meh" halftime show

I was one of the lucky fortunate souls who got to watch this live at the stadium (near the front @ 20 yard line) and I must say, there has never been a performance that I have seen that comes even close to this (and I lived in Las Vegas for 10 years and have seen just about every show). What a beautiful night it was... plus I was there as a life long Seahawks fan and seeing my city win their first major sports championship in my life with my only brother no less, right after I got back from a deployment. I must say without a doubt that this was the best night of my life. Thanks Bruno for making it unbelievably special!

And I think besides me liking his performance the fact that it was dark also helped. That usually makes shows even better for me. Snoop Dog, Eminem and the others performed in daylight. Somehow it felt less special and more like it was just a random afternoon

Well I think pretty much all pop stars have a whole lot more talent than most people understand or give them credit for, but Bruno Mars is in absolutely exceptional musician in every sense. His music is not even my style (at all), but I’m in awe of this live show. I believe it’s at the absolute limit of the humanly possible.

The thing that makes this the best halftime show for me is there is little reliance on props and it puts the performance, talent and energy front and center. No giant moving machines, no jumping from random places, no fancy room changes, just pure energy, performance, and fun!

The Usher performance tonight had like 10 second snippets of tracks. I was like: "What the hell is this? A sampler pack?". I had to come back to this performance to remind myself what a perfect half time show sounds like.
Artists like to squeeze 15 songs in 15 min time frame as per nfl guidelines which destroys the whole experience
On top of that meaningless 100 backup dancers with costume change every song

After watching Rihanna's performance I had to come back to this. She needed a spectacle and a ton of dancers to put on a show. Bruno Mars needed just his voice and his energy.

Bruno manages to be so classic while also being modern, it’s awesome
I think this is so great because it feels like a real concert. The energy, great singing. The others are like "these were my songs....,". Those vocals are on point even dancing like a maniac.
I come back to watch this every year to remember what a real halftime show looks and sounds like. Still head and shoulders above the rest ❤
This and Prince are tied for #1 if you ask me.
The level of musicianship in this show is absolutely mind-boggling. I’ve seen it a few times, but I’m sitting here again, shaking my head in utter amazement. (After wiping the tears from my eyes.) Most non-musicians will probably have a harder time seeing how perfect (in the best possible sense) this show is. It takes not only years and years of hard work to become as good as everyone involved was (musicians, techs, ...), but also whole-hearted passion to play and sing your heart out like everyone on stage did.
It really is, especially those transitions, they are flawless.
I love hearing this from true musicians. Bruno Mars is the real deal. No matter what type of music you like, everyone can agree this guy is talented. That is so rare.

I love Bruno Mars. I love his musicians / backup dancers. They had the time of their lives, and it showed.
Not even Justin Timberlake could make a Super Bowl halftime show this entertaining. His album sales shot up just from this performance. No one's been able to top it ever since. Rhcp is the icing on the cake.
