I remember being there when I was young. Watching this is one of my best childhood memories. I can't believe how everything has changed, unfortunately not for the good. Back in the God old day S of the 90s. Now my generation is house pore and barely making it. Yay, at least I watched others enjoy them self. Thanks for posting this it was nice to remember my childhood
Some of the best sleds ever made and probably the best time period for snowmobiling. I remember traveling my state to different events all winter long back then. Constantly something going on from radar runs, poker runs, amateur snocross events and hill climbs. I still have a couple of trophies kicking around for the under 18 class of amateur snocross events that my local snowmobile club put on back in the late 90's early 2000's.
The good ol days I noticed that people were genuinely happy that the snowmobiles didn’t crash and burn. I was pointing out to my boy that no one was on a phone or worrying about the phone because no one had one. Lots of smiles. Times are different
We had a 98 powder extreme 600 bored to 700 growing up and dad had the 96 thundercat bored to 1107. The old man passed away and his sled sat for about 12 years. Gettin the old triple running again, I'm excited to hear those stingers. Great vid bud, thanks for sharing. Love watching the old iron on the hill.
Back when sleds we're comfy affordable, reliable, fixable and fun for the whole family ! 20k And the people were class act ! Now....in 2021..... Sleds are 15k-20k ea. Gas 4$-5$ a gallon Oil 40$ a gallon or more And, you need a $90hr for a mechanic with pc to diagnose or repair the new style computer, turbo, ecu flapper turbine power-core illudium flash drive from Taiwan 😤 & The sleds look radicalized & weigh a 700#.... like the riders !
not sure if you guys cares but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my brother during the lockdown xD
I like hill climbs that at least you have a chance of reaching the top and best time wins, those climbs that you sit and watch for an hour and not one sled makes it to the top are ridiculous….
Different culture back then. Most worked hard and played harder on the weekends. Today's generation wants everything handed too them and loves playing the victim card.

Hey did you get the thundercat running again? Its winter time!
I used to do the Cutler big bores, still have a couple. Watching these makes all my old injuries hurt all over again. In my 60's now

wow memories....i was there for that race...same year went to apex race....this is great...back when you had to have some skill to ride these machines
Cool, Thanks Darren, glad it brings back some good memories 👍, we enjoyed videoing the event, was a Great weekend 👍
I liked the interviews, David Shepherd's answers are so in depth and professional compared to everyone else's. He was on top of the game.
Yes, he was very professional and an excellent rider 👍
I will say that looks awesome. Damn suspension has came a long way on snowmobiles lol
Thanks Stacy, yes, it sure has ! 😊
very satisfying,,,, headphones on n crank it
I remember having to build a sled, now any fool with mediocre credit can buy a crazy fast machine.
Nice to see some mods there, longer tracks than original and even the lugs I think. Although still pretty short tracks compared to modern RMKs etc.
Yeah film us using verniers that will have the competition scared.
Why does this look like it was filmed in 1987?
Eighties came to Canada in 1993

90% Polaris. Hell yea
Got any more of these? Amazing content
them cats were screaming
yes, they sure were 👍
I'd love to find one of these old full mod survivors of they even exist
22:59 what is that thing, crazy rpms probably 20,000rpm
Sleds where cooler back then and the chicks way hotter!
That was before delusional people started promoting fat chicks as body positivity and allowing them to model in vomit inducing lingerie.
When and why did they stop doing this??
I'm sure liberals had something to do with it
@@MidnightPolaris800 someone should restart this lol
@@LifeWideOpen780 for sure
They were a better class of people.
