I really enjoy watching your videos. In the 1980s I lived in China, but unfortunately we didn‘t do any birding then, it is great to see so many wonderful birds of China. Congratulations on getting the goose saved. And I must say, I get quite envious when I see all the great food you show us 🙂

If you're asking about the birds on the lake, they are being fed chicken pieces.

when the Willow Tit is foraging was there a Greenfinch calling in the background? (Only asking as it sounds exactly like the ones I hear in NZ), also how expensive and accessible is the lake hide? Can you watch from other parts of the lake for free or is it private property and youre only allowed to view up close with the hide?

The call you heard is possible, although I didn't see a Greenfinch at the time. At Longshan Lake, the winter hide costs 200 RMB per day. The lake itself is not private property, so you can birding from the surrounding areas for free. The fee is mainly for feeding fish to the sea eagles, allowing for close-up photography.
