      Thank you! Tibet’s diverse ecosystems, shaped by significant altitude variations, make spring ideal for observing breeding birds and winter for migration; however, summer visits to low-altitude areas like Medog are discouraged due to frequent water-related hazards.

    • @SuBirdsNatureTours
      @SuBirdsNatureTours Місяць тому

      Thank you! I believe the 'neighing' sound you heard was actually a mix of pygmy owl calls and bird alarm sounds played by the local bird guide to attract birds from the forest.

    when the Willow Tit is foraging was there a Greenfinch calling in the background? (Only asking as it sounds exactly like the ones I hear in NZ), also how expensive and accessible is the lake hide? Can you watch from other parts of the lake for free or is it private property and youre only allowed to view up close with the hide?

    • @SuBirdsNatureTours
      @SuBirdsNatureTours Місяць тому

      The call you heard is possible, although I didn't see a Greenfinch at the time. At Longshan Lake, the winter hide costs 200 RMB per day. The lake itself is not private property, so you can birding from the surrounding areas for free. The fee is mainly for feeding fish to the sea eagles, allowing for close-up photography.
