For those of us trying to save money, if you have photo boxes, they work to hold stamps and dies as well. I have one of those refrigerator bins that gets really heavy, but for stamp sets I want to use soon, or favorite sets, I love popping a photo box on the top shelf of my rolling cart and having those sets right next to my desk.
that is a great idea. I actually use plastic shoeboxes. They are inexpensive and work well for me
I use Iris 14 x14 scrapbook boxes organized by holidays, sayings, subjects, geometric shapes etc. Within each, I can have stamps, dies, stickers, stencils, embellishments that fit the topic. Many of my dies are stored on 12 x 12 cardboard "shelves" with magnetic strips. This keeps my containers lighter than full magnetic sheets, let's me see more dies at once, and the cardboard is free (cut from boxes). I take supplies back and forth to school to share with my students and since these containers clothes, they are fantastic. When at home, I pull out my most used cardboard shelves and can put them on shelves I made from foam core to fit perfectly within the 9 cube shelving units you see everywhere. The containers allow for stamps of all sizes. The Avery Elle sleeves, cd cases, DVD cases, and 12 x12 or smaller plastics with different sized pockets all work to keep stamps organized within.

Thank you Rebecca. This was terrific. I never tire of organization videos. I am very organized because I function better when I know where all my little darling stamps and dies are. I file mine in the same categories you do. Your colorful space is a delight and very inspirational. Those Tonic bins are smart! Definitely checking them out as well as The Stamp Market dividers. And you make doing videos seem easy but I know it’s not! I tried it a few times and it’s funny how something we know and do so naturally like crafting cannot be easily communicated once you know the camera is on and sound is recording. So much respect for you You Tubers! And oh the wonder of the editing software!

Great tips! I also use Airtable to catalog my craft supplies (a lot less duplicate stamps!). It's free, and very customizable.

I'm a big fan of Jennifer McGuire's system for organizing. I've got the bins, pockets, and labels. I still need to do the dividers. I bought some inexpensive plastic folders to cut down and label, but it's still on my to-do list. Not on my to-do list anymore is remembering to subscribe to your newsletter!

I have a similar storage set up but have always filed my stamps separate from my dies. I have always found them by category, but I see that it makes sense to have both he dies and stamps together. Your storage area looks so neat and tidy. I’m jealous.

Ohhhh, I need to get organized. I'm a stamper from the old days and since many of my old stamps don't stamp well I've been removing them from their wood blocks and adding stickiness so I can use my stamp positioner. Your video came at an appropriate time as I'm attempting to sort my stamp and die sets. I bought some of the new canvas storage boxes at the dollar tree and they seem to be working, just need something to separate them by categories. I will def check out your suggestion. Thanks.

Oh, did you see Laura Volpes uses that rubbery drawer liner stuff in the bottom of the fridge bins to keep the stamps from sliding? I think that's genius.
Ooo, TFS the tip of anti-slide drawer liners!
@@kkrolf2782 The other thing Laura uses, to separate stamps and keep them from sliding around is metal bookends! I just ordered some.
@@judymason9736 Now isn’t that smart!! I’m not liking the dividers that hang over the sides of the plastic boxes, but I’m not sure about using the metal bookends. They might preclude the packets from moving AT ALL if they catch on the bent under “foot” and make it tricksy to get a flip thru look-see. “THE” solution always seems to evade us!

Just getting into stamps and dies, was wondering a way to keep them. Like this idea, start now, when I have alot. I'll be all set..lol. thanks for showing.
WARNING!!! AS YOU ACQUIRE crafting items, D O C U M E N T what you buy!!! Most especially S T A M P S, but also DIES, and Embossing Folders, and Stencils!! There are Apps that some crafters use (see “It’s me, JD”); Others use a “journal” of examples; Others just take photos and label the items alphabetically on their phones or computers. Don’t put it off ‘cuz you’ll N E V E R catch up if you put it off! Nothing is sadder than to own a treasure and forget you even have it. And nothing will give you “crafter’s freeze” like “being in the mood” and NOT being able to find “that one special thing”!!
