Its very unfortunate you can't rematch the E4 in SV because I've never cared about an E4 member as much as I have Rika. I've always liked brainstorming rematch teams for gym leaders and the like so I'm thinking she'd have a Hippowdon with Sand Stream or other round/goofy looking ground-types since that seems to be her thing. Though if you could rematch them and it was the exact same team, well, honestly I don't think there'd be much of a difference. But at least we'd get more dialogue from her then! Really fuckin hope we get like DLC with a Paldean Star Tournament or something, I just need to see more of her.

The comments were basically "I thought she was a boy but when I realized she was a girl, I fell in love." Women also rarely appear on that list so man they must love her

Factsss. Rika took out five of my team members and left Skeledirge at yellow health. She whooped my ass while the others were easy sweeps. By far my favorite character from this Gen, easily my favorite E4 member of all time.
Best out of the Paldea E4 tbh Rika having to shout for Hassel was top tier and Ground types are always underrated, Giovanni and Maxie gave them love but Rika is the first Ground E4 member. Poppy is a new take on the Youngster Tristan fight from Alola in title defense but not great tbh Larry is just Gym Leader but he use different types now and Hassel is the stereotypical final E4, the dragon specialist.
I like to think that she caught these ground types cause she thought they were cool or some pokemon related reason, but caught and made clodsire her ace pokemon cause she thought it was really cute. Which she wouldn't be wrong about. My team is literally kingambit, scizor, rotom-heat, baxcalibur, iron valiant and chose clodsire cause I couldn't help it.
The fact she walks out the same door as you is a such a power move. Like Rika used her ninja training that she definitely has (fight me) to blend in with the walls so she could jumpscare you after you walked right past her.
Not too fond of her at first, when I saw her in SV. But hearing her Osaka-ben accent plus that individual rearranged theme song in Masters (the violin part giving off a strong Sailor Uranus Neptune vibe. Seriously, listen to it if you haven't)... she really stands out and I have better appreciation for her. 😁👍🏻

She’s the only woman in the game who dresses formally. I would say she is the first elite four member to dress up professionally, but unfortunately, Larry was introduced in the same game.
