    It looks great! I’ve got bananas in the freezer so I can make this! I’ve got some new Saigon cinnamon and Redmond salt to try for this recipe. I’ll be adding chocolate chips and pecans to my loaf.
    I’m glad the loaf liners work so well and I haven’t tried mine yet.😂

      You need to try those liners Rhoda! They are amazing to use! They really do make it so much easier to get the quick breads out without worry of breaking and make clean up even easier! I have not tried Saigon cinnamon yet, but have been seeing it at all the stores. Going to pick some up, interested to see how it's different. Your loaf with pecans and chocolate chips is going to be amazing--I wish I had made mine that way! But my kids did eat it all that same day, so it was a win. Thanks again for the liners and bread bags, I hope you heard the shout out I gave you :)

      Did you transition your family from store bought flour to all grains or do you combine them? I was wondering about gradually mixing my milled grains with King Arthur flour.

    Looks so good! I use my discard for baking more than active sourdough starter. I’m not very patient for all the folding and babysitting but I do like the health benefits so I often use the discard for many things and as I have time I’ll make a nice sourdough boule. Thanks, this looks like a great recipe!

      Thanks Liza! Me too, I probably make more with my sourdough discard than with my active sourdough starter. I'm not patient enough either! But I like the health benefits as well, and the hobby of keeping a starter going is fun for me, too, because I love all things baking and bread making!       @ your welcome I love watching your channel and watching it grow. I love baking and doing anything in the kitchen and garden. Trying to get this house done and start packing up this house with 38 years of things I should have already thrown away is a hard job 😂 I did make sub rolls and garlic knots made for the freezer today from fresh milled flour. I love the sub rolls from fresh milled flour. Good to hear from you!

    Looks very delicious! When I’m better I’m going to first try making the starter and doing a loaf of SD bread. I’m curious, my husband does not eat bananas, does this work on other quick breads? My bestie is already longing for that cranberry orange bread! Ha! She’s so good to me I’m going to surprise her with two big loaves when I can. Everyone I gave bread to has commented on it, they loved it! Thank you for being a patient and kind teacher and bringing such great recipes! 🩷🌷🥰🇺🇸

      Cynthia, are you not doing well lately? I'm sorry if you're having an off time. Yes, this does work well with other quick breads! You simply replace some of the flour and water with the starter/discard and it addssome nutrition, helps the bread be moist, and even stay fresh longer--but I'm not sure about that last one because my quick breads usually disappear within hours of pulling them out of the oven in my house! I'm so glad your friend likes the cranberry orange loaf so much! I love that one, too, it's so full of flavor! Thank you for always watching and always being so kind. It's so refreshing and really encouraging to me.

    Would those liners work for your sourdough discard sandwich loaf bread recipe?

      I think they would, except I have never tried them for any loaves besides my quick breads. My bread slides right out of my oiled cast iron loaf pans, so I haven't needed to try it, but I should experiment with that. Anything to make kitchen clean up faster and easier is a win to me!

      HAHA, yes, I agree. They eat everything I put in front of them, but tell me they prefer their banana bread plain or with chocolate chips, so I don't mind for this one thing! They are good kids :)
