Find a bullhead alive on the bank was a sign to me to throw it in and it gets ate!
Nightcrawlers produced several species!

Personally, I can't do circle hooks for my flathead... I run khale or Js. Especially for live baits. I hook them in the back at a 45° angle towards the head. I go behind the dorsal fin and not to deep...
Good to know! Personally have caught all my catfish on circle hooks only, and my biggest flathead ever came on a circle hook.I have some js but have never used them or had the confidence to use them!

@GoodLifeOutdoorsman spawn here in MN is pretty much wrapped up, and fish are chewing! If you fish multi cat rods, rig different stuff up. I like to have multiple setups with. Especially fishing snags.

Caught a common on a live bluegill while flathead fishing in AZ
Looked like good fun. Sometimes just soaking some live bait and catching whatever comes is the best way to do it. Looking forward to you catching that Flathead!
