- Jeepers Jamboree started back in 1953 when a small group of Rotarians took on the task of creating an event to bring tourism and business to the Georgetown Divide. In Episode 3, Chris, Liam, and Edla, the Expedicon de las Americas CJ-7, take a break from the trail to spend time president Bob Sweeney and other key Jamboree organizers. They share insights on how Jamboree became known as the granddaddy of Jeep trips, how the Rubicon Trail became the best-known four-wheel drive trail on the planet, and how their volunteer staff hosts thousands of off-road enthusiasts each July.
Jeepers Jamboree started with World War II surplus Willys MB and Ford GPW flat fenders, and as new Jeep models were developed the CJ-5, CJ-6, CJ-7, Comanche, and Jeepster were standard fair. They were followed by the Jeep YJ, TJ, and Cherokee XJ. Today, the Wrangler JK, JL, and Gladiator JT are prevalent, and you’ll even see the occasional Toyota HiLux, Land Cruiser, Land Rover Defender, and Ford Bronco tackling the Rubicon’s rugged terrain and challenging obstacles on their way from Loon Lake to Lake Tahoe via The Devil's Playground.
Don't miss out on this multi-part series of the Jeepers Jamboree, the ultimate event for Jeep lovers!

Nice, when do we see the next one?
Working on it...
Looks like a blast !! bummer too bad CJs are not allowed on the Jeep jamboree rubicon trail anymore
Thanks for the input, Melissa. As a heads-up, all Jeeps are welcome on Jamboree, but the majority these days are JLs and JKs.
@@Gone_Gpn I looked on their website for next years jeep jamboree and it states 1996 and newer jeeps only, so idk.
Are they or not? I don't see how they could take away the the roots of it all.
I didn't see anything that said cj's weren't aloud
I read the same thing, but I think that requirement is for a different event. The Jeepers Jamboree web site says:
Acceptable vehicles for the Jeepers and Jeep® Jamboree trips are Jeeps, Land Cruisers, Toyota Pick Up's, Samurai's, Scouts, and Broncos. Highly modified vehicles (including the models listed) need to be approved by the Board of Directors. All vehicles need to be in good mechanical condition.
The Jeep Jamboree USA web site says:
Jeep vehicle models 1996 and older are not permitted to register for the Rubicon Trail Jeep Jamboree. Participants must have a Jeep Wrangler model year 1997 to present or a Jeep Gladiator model year 2020 to present in order to participate in the Rubicon Trail Jeep Jamboree.
When does the next episode drop??
Hey Jereme, Collard here. It's my fault, been super busy but working on it. Thanks for the nudge
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
Hi guys, thanks for the offer, but we already have KC onboard for this project (keeping things period correct). But reach out to Chris Collard (PM via FB) and we'd be happy to review AuxBeam lights on another project.
@@Gone_Gpn That's awesome! Is there a way to talk more about our partnership:)
Isn’t the next one in 3weeks?
Yep, coming up in July
Do I need a wench for the Rubicon Trail?
While we've go done the Rubicon with stock rigs and few mods (no winch), its a good idea...never know what's going to happen.
I'd leave your wench at home, but bringing a winch is a good idea.
