    Someone told me we, as born again believers, can use this time to CELEBRATE Jesus; while telling people about Him and Truth. Put up the lights, representing His Light in the world shining through us. But tell others about The Good News!

    I agonized over celebrating Christmas 45 years ago when I was first saved and found out about pagan Christmas. I came to the same conclusion you did. Used Christmas to share the gospel. Saw much fruit over the years. Good teaching.

      @@mrclay50 What is the lie? Jesus was born as the Scriptures say. So He wasn’t born on Dec 25th, it doesn’t matter.
      Some day in some year He was born and the world’s celebration of that is a great time to evangelize.

      Hanukkah never came from a pagan origin like Christmas, Easter and Sunday sabbath. They all came from paganism. God said never to mix the profane with the Holy. That what Christianity has done. That only brings Gods judgement on HIS people.

    • @CRRBennett
      @CRRBennett 18 днів тому

      @@lauraontiveros3432 This is what I read in scripture (Christmas was full on pagan, as well as Easter) but Hanukkah was the rededication of the temple quite different and I feel convicted, but it is hard to make changes. So... yes, tell the gospel, but do we participate in all the "Christmas stuff" ? What about Deuteronomy 12:30-31? Even though I try to speak this (esp with family) it seems "baby Jesus" gets thrown out with all the wrapping paper. anyways, I still feel very much on a teeter totter. Trying to speak the truth and gospel versus participating in a very evident pagan holiday. Once you know what all the symbols mean it is hard to reconcile.

    Hi Amir. I´m Luis, from Quito, Ecuador, and following your videos and teaching for about two and a half years now. This wekend we were lucky to be invited to a jewish family's house here in Ecuador, people that have been here scince WW2, and before it I guess.
    Teir son is friend of my daughter from school and for many years we have been to their home. but this year was special because we knew it was Hanukka, and Ariel their son was comming from Israel for hollidays. Later he is going to USA to see the rest of the family, and then back to Israel to the armyfor three years or more.
    And we used the opportunity to preach the Gospel to who wanted to listen to us, and it was great!
    Today, monday, I watch your video and fell so glad that just as you say, we used that time as an opportunity to share the gospel and Jusus as our Saviour!
    Praise the Lord! Aleluya!!
    As allways, thank you for your teachings and may The Lord bless you and your family too!!

    Really appreciate the way you said it all. I went through all the disgust about Christmas when I first heard about all the pagan background, years ago. But Jesus showed up one Christmas when I was with my extended family and he was smiling down on us, loving the fact we were joyful and we all love him. He wasn't condemning or angry, just happy with us.
    Let's use this time of year when people are more open to speak to them why we celebrate this special birth! And stop the condemnation and accusations that we are actually worshipping something we are not.

      Kat Neidhardt, At that time the Feast of the Dedication took place at Jerusalem; it was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple in the portico of Solomon. The Jews then gathered around Him, and were saying to Him, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” - John 10:22-24. Feast of Ded·i·ca·tion noun another name for Hanukkah.

    • @sharylcobb6857
      @sharylcobb6857 6 років тому

      @@elsiegisella Jesus was there, surely. He went where people gathered and taught them more truth that they really NEEDED to know. Amir was right. There is no way to know if He "celebrated Hanukkah" or not. He just showed up where people could hear a message of salvation, just as Paul showed up in Athens amongst the Greek pagan "wise-guys" and preached an amazing sermon about "the unknown God" in Acts 17, mentioning their false honoring of false gods to introduce them to the true God! We can all do that, and should, 24/7/365, whenever God gives us an opportunity. I don't, personally, see how that gives us permission to also go along with a lot of pagan and Catholic rot on that day, like the lie of "Santa," etc., as long as we say the name of Jesus over it. I once heard a story of a girl who went out with young men, allowed them to have sex with her and justified it because she then told them that Jesus died for their sins! She used sin to associate with Jesus and His salvation! Learning to separate the "wheat" (God's Word) and the "chaff" (doctrines and traditions of men) sometimes seems hard to do. God bless your search to sincerely do that!

The anonymity of the web has made the perfect place for "brave" keyboard warriors who'd be screaming if anyone criticized them the way they're criticizing Amir Tsarfati for this. "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, *or with regard to a festival* or a new moon or a Sabbath. *These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ."* (Colossians 2:16,17)

    We know that there are many that only go to church on Christmas and Easter. So, we need to take that time to love on them and show them God's mercy and Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for OUR sins. So instead of causing your brother or sister stress, why not go celebrate with them the nighttime church service (Christmas) and allow them to see Jesus in you...? It may be the only time they hear the truth. God may have put you into their path by divine appointment and give you a chance to sow seeds of faith onto them. Pray for them to have eyes to see and ears to hear of God's mercy, grace, love and His wonderful gift of Salvation. You could be the one that brings them to Jesus, however, if you're too busy arguing semantics with everyone, who will? John 3:16-17

    When we truly celebrate Christ, we dedicate our bodies back to Him. I love the Feast of Dedication - Hanukkah because Jesus kept it and the history associated with living through persecution and being a light in a dark world is relative to Messiah’s teachings. Everything that we do with the Biblical Holy Feasts days are a rehearsal for when Christ returns. Hanukkah is such a special time because it deals with the Anti-Christ and how we must be prepared for the Lord’s return.

    I stand in awe of His love, mercy and grace He has for us. He is God and He came into this world as a man to serve Abba Father and to save mankind. He is the Shamash candle, the Servant light that gives light and life to all who believe in Him. He chose to dedicate/sancify us unto His Father and Himself. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God. He was with Gof in the beginning.Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the 'light' of men. The 'light' shines in the darkness, but the darkness has understood it not." John 1:1-5

      But if you search truth and learn the Bible messages, you cannot find that Lord Yahshua was born in December. He might be born in the month of Sivan... anyway, Lord Yahshua didn't tell us to to celebrate his birthday bcoz when a" Messiah has to be born", that make us happy, excited and waiting for a new born baby. And, when a "Messiah was born" that make us to go and to see him with joy and excitement. It's bcoz God Yahuah the God of heaven and Earth, who created all living things...that means nothing impossible to him that even animals plants, people can rejoice and celebrate his birth...but.....that was before ,the prophets prophesied of his birth. Lord Yahshua was born in flesh to save his people (the Israelites) u can read that in Matthew...and the grafted in vine (gentiles), as Lord Yahshua disciples, not all of them are Israelites. But we do have to remember his death"the feast of Passover", it's in the Bible. Lord Yahshua didn't command us to remember his birth but to remember his death. The feast of Passover in the month of Nisan (march-april) and the Revelation in the month of Sivan ( may-jun) of which I believe Lord Yahshua was born in the month of between may or June 2.

    Thank you! We are in ministry and my husband in particular likes to preach the good news of the gospel and gently ignores all the trappings of “Christmas”. It is difficult to do in our Australian culture. Bless YOU!

    This is Interesting, because a Jewish friend I work with asked me to join her for oir like nch break and she mentioned that she would be celebrating Hanakah with her mother and other fam....I was led to tell her about my testimony on Jesus Christ father God changed my life and she said you have a heart of Gold, I told her it is he holy spirit 💖 in me. I also testified of the supernatural ways he has revealed himself to me...she responded Interesting. I hope and pray we can still remain friends but ultimately I hope she can be moved to know the truth, our Savior Jesus Christ Prince of Peace 💝 Elohim

    The reason the book of Maccabees is so important is because it not only gives an account of how the Jews cleaned the temple and rededicated it allowing the Lord to reinhabit it but it is symbolic toward our own selves. When Christ went into Jerusalem and preached the way he did during the time of dedication, it was a great opportunity for him to point out that the temple itself was saved because it was rededicated and appropriate for the Lord. We also have to remember that he was urging them to understand throughout many parts of the Gospel that the time for the physical Temple was coming to a close and the new temple, being our own selves, would be resurrected. The original Temple that we were intended to be when the Father created Adam and Eve would be restored through him. Not only his own Temple was restored after 3 days but any who accepted him will have the promise of having their temples resurrected as well. The reason the Jews had success against attack in the book of Maccabees was because the Lord inhabited the temple. When Christ died God no longer inhabited the temple having wrent the vail from top to bottom making his departure and allowing us to come directly before him, one-on-one in a personal manner through Jesus Christ. It never was about a building of brick and mortar just as he told David he did not need him to build a temple, that he was perfectly fine in his tent. It was a about the place where the Lord resides and he seeks to reside in our hearts. That's what the true message of Hanukkah should be. That when God resides within us no destruction may come to us. Christmas is completely Pagan. It's based off of the Roman Holiday of saturnalia and the solstice. The early popes brought the practice of it in to try and create converts because the more converts they had the greater number of people would be donating to the church. There is no scriptural reference that points to Christmas at all. It mentions that Christ was born in the month of Nissan which is usually end of April beginning of March and additionally it says that the Shepherds were in the field at night which if it were winter would be impossible, too cold and no grass. The thing that the scripture stresses most is not the birth of Christ but the death and resurrection. By his death he conquered sin for us and by his resurrection he conquered death for us.

    I agree with you to preach the gospel during Christmas and everyday... but I can do this without celebrating either holiday as Jesus did. "Be in the world but not of the world."

    Swedenborg was shown that the Father is the universal spirit of loving wisdom. Yeshua is Him embodied, and the Holy Spirit is the works done by The Heavenly Spirit, through Jesus, and so through us. I never miss your updates Amir. God bless your ministry.

    I believe John tells us when Lord Jesus was born:
    John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
    He tabernacled with them. Yes, I believe he was born on the Feast of Tabernacles.
