I just did mine after watching your video. Definitely a two man job. Zero results lifting engine at oil pan. I shoved a 2X4 between the manifolds and block. Worked great. Thanks for your video. No More Death Wobble at idle or on the freeway.
Trying to change my motor mounts on my 74 c20 watching all the UA-cam videos. This one’s pretty close but I did mine by myself. It took three days. Here’s the way you have to do it first don’t use a jack under the engine use a cherry picker engine, hoist on top takeoff your exhaust manifolds. Your starter and don’t make my mistake. Take off your transmission, dipstick tube and take your distributor cap off take all your bolts loose from both motor mounts while lifting the engine slightly. So the man threw bolt comes out easy then take all your little six bolts out, lift the engine up higher, and my motor mounts just fell out. I replaced the driver side first it is the hardest one the number one lesson I learned was there is six bolt holes on each side, higher bolt holes, I assume for a big block motor and lower three bolt holes for a short block Chevy use the lower bolt holes on each side bolt everything up lower your engine done deal I did not take my transmission dipstick tube off And it ruined the seal between the dipstick for the transmission. I’m not sure at this point if it cracked the aluminum dipstick hole in the transmission. Also are used old school Drive up ramps on all four tires, which helped crawling under the truck. I’m 69 years old and my back will never be the same. Good luck.
I you want a pair of 14g Stainless mid length headers give me a shout, I just pulled them off my 88 burb, they will work with your stock exhaust, Im in SC just pay for shipping

The mounts are directional in the clamshell, the passenger side could’ve been upside down, I believe the bigger tab goes upwards

I forgot to add, I did loosen the rear transmission bolts. I did not take them out. I loosen them quite a bit.
